no x-over in response to the guy below, i have no idea what you did to the amp but these things have serious clean power. maybe both power inputs are not being used or??? i actually sold hundreds of these amps and was very satisfied with their performance. i found this review b/c i'm about to list my remaiming leftovers on ebay and did a websearch for misc info. i was blown away by that last review and felt a need to respond. i have used these in about every application. i have run 4 12's with higher efficiency like older jl 12w1 or newer 12w0, we have run 3 dual 6 ohm subs fine, an employee of mine had one on a pair of orion xtr pro 15's and hit a 148db at the so cal forbidden fantasy show a few years ago etc... long story short, it has plenty of power and if that's not what you are getting something is wrong with your amp or your setup. check your grounds as well, a seat belt bolt or a piece of sheet metal that's attached with a few tack welds is not an adequate ground. also, you must use a nut, lock and bolt (no metal screw that can rattle loose the first week of driving) and remove the paint for bare metal contact. these are very important factors. also, 1/4 gain could very well be "all the way" if you have a head unit with high line voltage out or if you are using heavy bass boost. for those of you out there that don't get this concept, the gain control isn't a volume knob, it's there to match the input of the amp to the output of the head unit. turn the amp all the way down and the radio all the way up till it sounds distorted (or all the way up if it never get's distorted) then back it down a couple steps. keep the head unit at that level then turn the amp up till it starts to sound distorted again then back it down a hair and your gain is set and that would be considered "all the way" even though the gain isn't actually "all the way" the amp could be just a crack from all the way down if your head unit has a very high level out, blah - blah - blah yeah i'm rambling, i just detest the "gain's not all the way" comments b/c it has no bearing on anything Similar Products Used: just about everything out there, i'm a dealer. check out the digital 50 and 100 for an unusually awesome mid/high amp if you can still find them. still a favorite of mine for tops |

Good if you stay with little subs.
Weakness:
Can't turn the gain up, Not the power it is made out to be This amp worked fine on my cadence 10's if I didn't go over quarter gain, If I did the protection light kicked on. Now that I have 3 w6 12's the amp can't hang the protection stays on all the time it is really upsetting. I really don't think it pushes what it is made out to be, also there is high's sound coming from the subs, as well as the low bass and there is no way to take it out. none got 2 of these badboys. 1 running each of my 2 12" Infinity Perfect subs. I under estimated the power of these bad boys and fried 2 subs within 2 mins of hookin them up. needless to say I got replacements and now run the gain about 1/4. AWESOME AMP! |

ugly wiring This amp is insane. It powers whatever you want it to. It sends my 12 JL W0''s ahead of the class. My friends Solobarics are deafening with it. More power than youll ever need (within reason, of course) |

Weaknesses? With Audiobahn, what's that? I have 2 Audiobahn Aluminum cone 12's in a custom truck box being pushed by an A2200HC behind the seat of my '93 Sonoma, and they hit so hard that they cracked my windshield right down the middle! I've never heard anything like them. With the IASCA Outlaw Competition CD, at track 35(35Hz) I can turn the volume up to level 5, and fold my side mirrors on my truck up against the cab! For anyone out there thinking of purchasing an Audiobahn product, I definitely would, because there's nothing else out there like them. Similar Products Used: None other like it. |

Very Powerful, Nice Looking, Tight Beats

Blew my Kicker XPL 12's with it This amplifier is the best thing I have ever seen... and it was only $400!!! I had two US Acoustics USX-4085 before this, blew one, and the other one shorted out internally and blew out my subwoofer output on my Pioneer deck. This amplifier is so much more powerful, reliable and over all better than my US Acoustics amp. I haven't used or heard it yet with a sub output, so I am really looking forward to thart when I buy a new car and get a new deck. If you want to go deaf, show off, or have great sounding music this amp delivers. Similar Products Used: US Acoustics USX-4085 |

I THOUGHT IT WAS RAGGED FOR A WHILE UNTIL I CALLED AND CUSSED OUT INFINITY AND CRUTCHFIELD, BUT THEY WERE NICE ENUFF TO LET ME KNOW IT WASNT 1OHM STABLE. I BOUGHT A PLANET AUDIO 1200WATT VECTOR-D AND IT DOESNT SOUND AS GOOD AS THE BETA. IT'S BADASS BUT NOT SOUNDING LIKE MY INFINITY. IM GONNA SWAP OUT MY SUBS SO I CAN RUN THE BETA AT 2OHMS. AND JUST THINK, I WAS ABOUT TO SELL THE S.O.B.!! HMM... GLAD I DIDN'T! Similar Products Used: ROCKFORD, PLANET AUDIO VECTOR-D, MTX, SONY |
