Clarity, tweeter match with BA tweeters, just amazing detail in highs and pretty good in mids...
Weakness:
Took a while to break them in but after about 2-3 weeks the sound clarity is amazing... Great speakers...hafta say was never a Polk Audio fan in general until I bought a pair of these...put em in my fronts...wow amazing sound...again there isn't much bass but that's what my box is for in my trunk...they match very well with my BA tweeters that I put in..replacement for stock...i recommend this very highly..good price got it from crutchfield..paid a few bucks more than the rest but i did get the wiring harness took no more than 10 mins to install..and crutchfield ain't goin anywhere if i wanna return them...as opposed to bob's car audio mart runnin outta his basement in godknowsfreakinwhere, Iowa.. Great Mids, Even better high's!
Weakness:
NO BASS!!! They came recomended by the sales (boy) that helped me a Cuircut Ciy, because of limited mount space in my truck. Thr first time that I heard them I wanted to rip them out and put the stock speakers back in. (deep beath)! They sounded so harsh and just plain bad. Then I remembered in some reviews that GOOD speakers take longer to break in. (Is this what I got). So through a gruling week of woofer break in, they started to sound really GOOD. Then after about a month the tweeters started showing it's true strength. I totally enjoy these speakers!!! WOW, I'm sold on Polk Audio! Just need to find the bottom end now. Strength:
i have these speakers as the front ones on my 97 honda civic - they are great speakers for the mids and highs - nice clear and real sound
Weakness:
the bass, it has none, and if you crank some rap or booty music in your stereo for a long time the bass fades away the older the speaker gets - i blew one of my speakers once before i paid $100 for the pair - these speakers are great for the mids and highs - i have an amp and a bazooka in my system so they sound really good because i have bass blockers on them so they dont get distorted by all the bass - i really recommend the bass blockers for these speakers - and the way it sounds depends on the speaker location on your car, it depends alot actually. it sounds 2,000,000,000,000,000 times better im ny honda civic than it did in my old 92 mazda mx3 Similar Products Used: None |

Very clean from lower mid-range to high end; Excellent
Weakness:
Not great below 100 HZ Paid $99 from Crutchfield w/ free wiring adapters. I compared several 6 1/2" speakers from the big name manufacturers, but none came close to Polk's more natural sound. You will need a sub if you want to hear low end, Similar Products Used: Kenwood and Pioneer |

Strength:
I like the sharpness and it has a decent bass only if you change the headunit or put an amp.
Weakness:
after 6 months of using the bass is gone. I must be playing it too loud!!! But the sharpness is still there. So I just take off the bass. Got it not for $100 but for $53 including tax. Good deal huh??? Anyways, its good for the buck. Not worth it if its $100. Similar Products Used: I went to Good guys and among the same price range polk is good. |

Very full-sound to them, very crisp and clear.
Weakness:
They don't hit that hard with bass but that isn't so much of a problem if you have a 10" Bazooka Tube. Paid 100 bucks for them, I would say they are better 6 1/2 speakers in this price range. For the same price you can get a nice pair of 6x9s that sound just as good but have more bass. However, they are still really good speakers, so give them a listen. |

Strength:
Excellent Highs, very crisp, efficient
Weakness:
Weak Bass Paid $100 from crutchfield, driving them with 75 watts, they sound very clean and crisp, very loud. Just they don't have much bass but if you have a sub, that's no problem. I definetly recommend if you want some better highs in the rear. |

Strength:
Pretty smooth and clear sound, efficient use of power, have been very reliable thus far.
Weakness:
Not much bass or midbass, I cross these babies over at about 120 Hz, they work fine from there up! I paid $100 even. I'd recommend these speakers assuming you have a sub(s) to even out the lower end. Also, they sound much better with clean, amplified power. One other weird observation: the cones seem to move a lot more than some other 6.5" speakers I've used, even when there isn't much bass. |

Strength:
good price, very efficient, easy to install
Weakness:
tinny, no bass whatsoever I paid 100 bucks for these things and was happy with them for about 3 months. They're a great deal if you're on a budget but not very good averall. I added an Excelon Db+ sub for the bass that these were missing but they still didn't fill out the sound. If you're looking for clean sound on a budget, I'd recomend them, otherwise leave these on the shelf. Similar Products Used: infinity kappa 63.1i |

Strength:
Everything
Weakness:
Nothing I have observed. Breathtaking sound. Vocals are the real deal, bass is shaking, the highs are silky smooth and accurate. Hard pressed to find a better speaker with $100 dollars of this price. Similar Products Used: Infinity, BOSE, Pioneer |
