Strength:
Greay Bass, STRONG design, awesome range of sound. C
Weakness:
Need to amp them to get total justification out of them, but work fine without one. I have had these bad-asses for almost 3 years now and they still pound like the day I got them. I am actually about to buy another pair for my front. Highly recomend buying these speakers at any price. The bass is amazing for 6x9's. |

Strength:
Great Price.. Nice bass.. great design.. very good mids. Great durability also.. had no problems while blasting these so far.
Weakness:
Not very clear.. and the highs are kind of weak. But I guess this is normal for 6x9s. This is a great product. I don't know if you can get any more bang for the buck. Not for extreme high end systems.. but will hold its own against the best, dare I say. If your looking for something pretty cheap with good quality, and pioneer reliability... get it. I love the mids of these TS-A6999's, the voice or the sax-playing seem to 'burst' out of the compression horns; the closer you are to those speakers, the closer you think you would be to the singer. The bass is super with frequency response as low s 25Hz.(Thank goodness I didn't get those Infinity References) Going down the octave, each bass note is defined and evenly loud (or louder). My factory 6x9's were strong with bass too but low bass notes seemed to disapppear. I'd go sit on my back seats just to enjoy these babies.
Weakness:
I wish these could be front speakers. I hope Pioneer comes up with a pair of 3way compression horn 6.5" speakers in front, I'd definitely get'em I would recommand these for sure. It's innovative with cool design, sophisticated with that built-in crossover for the horns. But most importantly, they sound GOOD! Similar Products Used: Infinity Reference 2-3 way. The Pionners simply blow them away their bass. With frequency response 51hz and up, the Infinitys' bass sound like beating a sand bag. |

Strength:
I agree about the highs, they can definitly fry you ears. Lows and mids are awsome for 6*9's - 25hz! Crank em' all the way with little to no distortion. Good for all kinds of music, great for heavy metal, rock.
Weakness:
Others say they take power, I'm giving them 50 watts RMS each with no problems. I paid almost $200 a pair, but it's worth it to have a quality stereo system that you can listen to day in and day out and feel proud that it truly is awsome. I would recomend these to anyone looking for the best 6*9's they can get. Similar Products Used: infinity kappa, polk - blows these away because of the frequency response, If you listen to hard rock/heavy metal, don't even worry about an extra sub(unless you crank your system all the way up and want the car to rattle), these sound BETTER and perfectly balanced with the sub turned off for this type of music (not the case with rap though) |

Strength:
Unique. Three way 6x9 using TAD-based horn loaded compression drivers. Can take a lot of power. Can deliver solid mid bass. Sounds really good with equalization. Makes a solid combination when installed up front on kick panels mated with a decent subwoofer. I use three 10's with it.
Weakness:
Needs equalization to tame the harsh highs. It can really burn your ears. Not recommended for rear fill assignment because of the highs. Once eq'd, it sounded really good. I got it for a decent price. I have it installed using custom kick panels. Not recommended for rear fill which unfortunately 6x9's are used for. Similar Products Used: Pioneer 6989 but no horns. |

Strength:
very nice sound and bass, gotta love those compression horns, attracts attention, different
Weakness:
i haven't heard any (no pun intended) but i do reccomend powering them with external amp, 22 watts rms just doesn't seem to do these justice i paid retail (i know i know, what a dumbass) but i really like these. They deliver great bass, awesome mids and highs all in one speaker. I do recommend them to anybody who's in the market for a great 6x9. They can be found relatively cheap too. And, compression horn technology in teh car? very neat stuff Similar Products Used: infinity, kenwood |

Strength:
Make good sound. Base notes are defined. (Stick them in boxes though)
Weakness:
Since they're in the back, trebble and mid loses volume, so it sounds like the bass is drowning it out. But i hav ea pre-amp, so its all good WOW. I stuck these in boxes, and they hit hard. Every base note comes with a POW. Similar Products Used: None |

Bass, power handling
Weakness:
None yet. Great speakers. It seems that the horn on the speakers would do a little better if the speakers were indeed pointed at the back window. But in my car (Olds Calais) the speakers are aimed at the ceiling. But anyways the idea is to have the treble bounce off of the back window. They still sound great though. Even with your factory stereo. With an aftermarket head unit it sounds better. And I've yet to try it with an amp, but im guessing that they probably sound even better with an amp. I've yet to distort the bass. the bass sometimes overpowers the treble, but that can be adjusted via the head unit. Similar Products Used: None |

sounds good, nice mids and highs, price is good
Weakness:
midbass distorts sometimes at low pitches(i can't tell any more though because of my subwoofers) These speakers are nice to put it lightly. They sound great. I especially love the mid and highs. The compression horn tweeters do their job. I have them in back so they kind of just fill out the sound more. The infinity kappa components i have in front drown them out a bit but that's to be expected when they are rear deck speakers. Midbass is weak sometimes. I don't use it for bass at all though because I use kicker subs for my bass. Similar Products Used: Jenson- oh my these just suck compared to em, pioneer 2 way(no compression horn)- needed a bass blocker for these. They sucked too |
