Strength:
Fit easily into factory locations. Good bass response.
Weakness:
You'll need a dynamat door kit, and mids/highs will distort if put at too high of a volume - but that's expected. These speakers were the first upgrade I ever made in my car audio career. I took out the factory door panel speakers from my GMC 2003 Sierra and put these in without a problem. These speakers really do fit in 6 3/4" factory locations without modifications, unlike other brands which claim they fit in 6 3/4" factory locations and you end up having to drill extra holes for them. So installation of these couldn't be easier. And by the way don't listen to Crutchfield's fitting guide. They said these speakers wouldn't fit my factory location - but they did. And they fit better than the Kenwood Excelon Component Set thatr they said would fit in the factory location without any modifications. Arrrgh. Anyways I had these speakers connected to my factory head unit at first, but then upgraded to a Pioneer Premier deck and they sounded great. The bass response is good, but if your putting these in doors, definalty invest that extra money you save getting these speakers by getting a Dynamat Door kit to stop these things from rattling. The mids were nice thanks to the Mid-Tweeters - but don't put your midrange gain up to high or they distort easily. Keep it low and they'll rock just fine. The tweeters were pretty impressive, but would also distort when put at high levels. If you want a good quality pair of speakers that fit in the factory locations with ease, these are your choice. If your looking to get these by the way and your short on cash, I'll hook you up with these for a nice price. I just took them out of my truck and replaced them with Kenwood Excelon Components and they're just sitting in my closet in perfect condition. They're built well, bulletproof almost.
