Excellent highs! Sound just as good as the JL audio components my friend just over-paid for (300 bucks) I run them off a premier deh-720 (the dolphin deck) and you can turn it all the way up!!! Take my word, NEVER SHOP SOUND ADVICE!!!

bright during break in, not a cost no object design

I'm not a believer of car audio, but wouldn't dream of being without my $14,000 home 2 channel system. That said, in a reasonable car audio system where you want full range at reasonable levels these shine. Combined with a Nakamichi CD-45Z and a pair of Kicker F6.5C filling the bottom, you have a nice jazz, blues, rock system without breaking the bank. Not like home, but good enough that you enjoy the ride.

Very durable, stylish design, fits perfectly in my Accord. The sound is superb, both at low volumn and high. no distortion at all.

Nothing in the past 2 years.

I would definitely recommend these Nakamichi speakers to those of you who want speakers that will not distort when you crank up the volume. I really enjoy hearing these speakers since the highs and the lows are well blended at any given volume. It gives you the sensation of being in a concert hall.

I also have a CD-45Z receiver by Nakamichi that compliments great with these speakers. I have tested many speakers before deciding to get these Nakamichi's. And my research has been fruitful in the last 2 years I had them.

My advice for you is to actually go into a store and LISTEN to the speakers for yourself. Compare all different types of speakers. Don't settle for a speaker because a salesman tells you that it's great. As for me, the Nakamichi delivers at high & low volumn without any distortion. LISTEN for yourself.

very strong treble .. very bright. mounting depth.

payed about $100/pair for them so not too bad on value. they have pretty decent bass for their size and until you crank it really loud, they have excellent detail and treble response. However, if your music or EQ has high treble settings, these speakers can really hurt :)
