Strength:
I have owned these MB's for almost 4 years, and have NEVER had any problems with them. They sound clear at all volumes. Great sounding and real loud
Weakness:
the tweeter is a little harsh...But it is a natural sound... My absolute favorite speaker on the market. Great sound and a great value. The MB's sound solid and clean at all volumes. Retail at $389...I paid much less Similar Products Used: JL audio, alpine |

I purchased these for the rear speakers of my sports car. They are quite possibly the best car speakers I have ever heard when mixed with MB Quart Q series speakers in the front of my car. I am pushing one hundred watts to each component and they still have no noise or distortion. I would recommend these to anyone. |

This is the most clear and loud component speaker I ever heard. Even when I crank the volume up till the end and the speaker still can perform well without sign of distortion. I have use this set of speaker for more than 2 years and still running well |

Over the last17 years that ive been into car stereo ive had many different brands at many different prices ,although MB Quartz are a little expensive at around 350$ they are without a doubt the best componenet set of speaker that ive ever owned and heard. |

Are you kidding? Very inefficient, very, very harsh at high spl. Severe compression throughout the mid@treb. THE single most overrated product I have ever owned.probably 3 stars for absolute performance, but 2 for my dissapointment. |

The MBQuart QM 218.03 KX are awesome coaxials......i bought a pair for $310.00including tax...the are in the rear of my toyota Ext cab p/u.. The sound alot better than the Infiniy Kappas i replaced.. the only prob is that the tweeter goes into protection mode at high violumes.... And on the doors i went all out!!! I bought the Q series 5 1/4 comp set for like 699.00 ..they were very expensive ......they replaced a component set set of SAS speakers...wich costed me 239.00 believe me they sound super excellent i have never heard such crisp clean voice and tweeter...very LOUD Very Clear...this is what the pros are winning the competitions with!!!!!... i am running both sets of MB Quarts off a Phoenix Gold 75x4 (xs4600) Very awesome sound |

I bought my Quart's after listening to many speakers from Boston Acoustics, Kicker, ADS, and Polk. I have the midrange drivers mounted in the doors of my Toyota Truck with the tweeters custom mounted in the dash. They are being driven with an ESX Q604 amp (5 stars!!) rated at 60 watts to 4 channels. The speakers are extremly accurate although I am experiencing some noise, probably because of my Sony CDX660 headunit. They are capable of extreme punishment and play loud enough for anyone I would imagin, being fed only 60 watts which MB Quart states is a minimum. I imagine that my amp is really putting out quite a bit more power though. |
