Kenwood incorporates advanced materials and superior audio engineering into its top-of-the-line eXcelon speakers. Woofer cones made from PBO (a high-performance fiber of superior strength and thermal stability) offer low distortion and excellent power handling. Butyl rubber surrounds ensure smooth response and contribute to overall durability. High-grade film dome tweeters provide rich, detailed high-frequency response, and gold-plated speaker connectors minimize resistance for smooth signal flow.

The KFC-X178 6-3/4" speakers deliver responsive bass and crystal-clear highs with an oversized PBO cone woofer, 3/4" PPTA dome tweeter, and high-grade built-in crossover. The woofer's aluminum voice coil former dissipates heat effectively for improved power handling. These 2-ways are highly-efficient, so they'll sound great whether they're driven by a factory receiver or by a high-powered external amplifier.
