Treat your ears to a fuller, richer soundstage! Kenwood has adapted anti-diffraction home speaker technology to their Image Enhancer series car speakers. A smooth, domed ring around the PEI balanced dome tweeter virtually eliminates "bounce back" — reflected sound waves that interfere with direct sound coming from the tweeter itself. The result is wider "sweet spot" dispersion, less distortion, and more accurate mids and highs.

The KFC-1689ie 6-1/2" speaker features three drivers for finely detailed sound. A pearl-mica injection-molded poly woofer handles plenty of power, for lows that hit hard. In addition to the PEI balanced dome midrange, the durable PEI dome tweeter offers extensive high-frequency output to capture nuances often lost in 2-way designs. The KFC-1689ie also has mounting tabs for oversized 6-3/4" applications.
