Strength:
Small, loud, dual coil, don't blow easy
Weakness:
85db/1w sensitivity, would have like 90 or above. I bought both of these subs to replace two burned up Cerwin Vega! XL-10D sub woofers in a Band pass box. After i put this into the system i cranked them up on my CARVER TFM-55x amplifier and it was like a new speaker was born. This speaker servers as my DJ speaker as part of my system and never disappoints me. They are in a ported box for large area coverage and they can flood a whole room in bass in just 100 watts. they were a little stiff when i got them and they look like you'd use them on a boat but they really do good in my system and am thankful for finding them so cheap on ebay. Go to this link to see the awesome sub woofers.

Strength:
has alot of spl.handles over 300 watts.alot of bass from a 10" sub.huge magnet.very long exursion.best 10" sub for its price range.
Weakness:
sq. i had this sub for almost 2 years and it still sounds great and i hope it will sound great for many more years to come.i bought a 4 year best buy warranty so that if it does blow out i can trade it in for a 12" vega for free!this is a very well made sub, i give it 5 stars becuase it sounds like a 12 or 15 of another brand but with better control of the bass. Similar Products Used: other 10" subs in the store.vega is better in every way.sound,power,bass. |

yea right
Strength:
ultra fast hits dont destort. Low end is very very good if the right signal processing takes place before its pumped into the sub. Sounds like a 12 to me and mine.
Weakness:
could break your windows! some of the sickest 10's i've bumped. I have 2 of em in a NON PORTED bandpass box... hits insane lows and still punches out crisp kicks with no distortion so far... and im maxing them at their 600watts each. People should really try more non-ported boxes if they want to hear the truely low potential of quality subs...you are wasting so much volume if u dont. Strength:
good SPL when properly amplified, for a single sub (I have it in the spec ported enclosure). Kicks pretty hard when you hear a bass drum hit - you can feel it in your back.
Weakness:
Bottoms out easily, and I'm only putting (a real) 100 watts to it. Ya, I'd recommend it. Big enclosure, though, 1.6 cubic feet. Hope you have room. If you do, buy 2. Similar Products Used: MTX 6104 - the C-V is not as clean, but I like it better overall |

Strength:
very low bass reponse.long exursion, about 1.25" of throw thats good for a 10" subwoofer.loud.loud.loud...you can hear it a bock or 2 away.
Weakness:
does not go deep, but very loud and powerful! paid $149.99. I would recommend it to any one that want that thump in the trunk, but if you really want bass then go with two 15" vega series subs.best 10" sub for under $150.NO DISTORTION AT ALL. Similar Products Used: jensen dual 10" in a bandpass box does not compare to the vega.vega kicks a$$. |
