2000 Boston Acoutic CX4
Strength:
-Clear Highs, I can open my door, walk 30 feet behind it and you can hear the highs like they were right in front of you.
Weakness:
-Foam Surround: I paid 80 dollars for them, I would expect any good quality speakers to carry the foam surrounds now. I paid 80 dollars at Audio Express, I'd recommend this item to people who are cost-conscious and want great affordable sound. I'm giving this a 4 in value because for 80 dollars retail, imo it should have higher power handling and rubber surrounds. 4 overall - I would like to hear more midrange...my Clarion stock 4" put out more midrange.. Similar Products Used: Cerwin Vega Vega-4002: I was running both off my Pioneer DEH-7000 deck which provides 22 RMS. Both speakers sound just about the same, the Vega has alot better power handling but for my use the Bostons was sufficient. |
