Strength:
High end, I think, are crisp and clear. Interesting grill for the tweeter - grabs attention. The add-on X-over is a plus also.
Weakness:
Weak midbass, I'd call it more of a midrange. I thought it could handle the power of an amp at high volume.... nope. I used these speakers as front components. They work fine with a aftermarket deck. I put in an amp last night, and these just caved under the power... which is not what I expected from audiobahn. The high end of these are solid. Pleasent sounding highs with good strength. The low end has.... well... not much. They are an okay midbass speaker, nothing impressive. Quite honestly if you want a good pair of speakers to make your ears bleed, or grab attention from outside the car, don't get these. If you just want aftermarket speakers/components that sound great at decent volume, great speaker. And be careful if you decide to amp them. I have an Audiobahn A4004T doing the job. (and a great job it does.) Similar Products Used: Audiobahn - AS62Q (better midbass, weaker high end) Pioneer 4-way Eclipse 6x9's |
