Butyl rubber surround,pearl/mica/poly cone,titanium tweeter.Very good materials are in this speaker,so I suspect it would last a long time.

Highs are pretty harsh and mids aren't pronounced enough.Sounds like a whole spectrum of sound is missing.

I bought these because I have had good experiences with Alpine products over the years.I believe Polk's EX series or Infinity Kappa series would be a better investment.I can't wait to pull em out and put them in the rear for rear fill.
