Rectangular shape is difficult to install. You have to be creative! I have my set on ball joint style mounts so I can aim them.

These tweeters are great! I actually read one review here by a guy stating that he didn't like them from the start and removed them immediately. Well, I felt the same way at first but I knew they would sound better in time. Ribbon tweeters require a substantial "burn in" period. My EMITS sounded superb after about three weeks of playing them. I find them to sound very sweet and they have more volume than I will ever need. I use a 50 watt per channel amplifier(PPI 2050AM)to drive them and I have a set of Boston pro 6.5 inch woofers (driven by a PPI 2075AM). It's a great sounding package, certainly better than the Boston Pro tweeters, which were cruel to the human ears!

I purchased a pair of Infinity Quantum 5s back in 1975. They use EMIT tweeters. To this day, no speaker I have heard comes close to the sound of these tweeters. The highs are simply fantastic. I was warned that they burn out easy and will have to be replaced often. In the 23 years I've owned them. I've replaced them once. The replacements have been doing fine for the last 11 years. I'd give them 10 stars if I could..

NO WAY!This emit tweeter lags compared to Boston Pro and Mb Quart!
I've had these speakers and gave up on them right after I put them in.
I have puched these tweeters to the limits and killed them. I now run Mb Quarts and they can give me more and better twees then anyone can even ask for
I Feel sorry for myselffor ever having ever wasted money on infinity for their EMIT tweeter.

This is the best tweeter money can buy at its price range. It more suitable for 3 way systems, as its crossover freq is at 4500Hz. So do not expext mid freqencies from this tweeter! In combination with a good mid-bass speaker and a good crossover circuit it gives excellent results.

I got these speakers about 3 years ago. They were simply the best tweeters i had ever heard. I had heard them in an audio show about 5 years earlier and wanted them ever since. They are very clear, and add a lot of spaciousness to the sound. You have to cross them over relatively high though (4500-5000hz)But the sound is unrivaled. I have them mounted to the underside of the the dashboard speaker grille so they are right on top of the 4" midrange drivers (boston rally) so they blend in really well with the mids. Ideal for dashboards with no location for speakers as they are very thin and can be surface mounted.
You must hear these before you buy any other tweeters. I got them for 150$ at soundcity. pretty good price for these gems.
