Strength:
Great Bass, very well defined clean highs, can play very loud!, good value
Weakness:
very picky about how much power you need. If you run at 40w rms and below, the sound quality is really hurt. If you play continiously at 110w rms, the cone will slowly warp and the voice coil gets hot enough to smell. Ideal range for these speakers is about 65-85w rms. Duribility could be an issue. On my 1st pair, I pushed it daily for 3 months at 100w rms and the woofer seperated from the cone in places. I paid $149 for these babys and the sound quality & power handeling for the price is unmatched. I would recommend this, as long as you have a well powered external amp. Otherwise, you may be a little dissapointed. Similar Products Used: nothing compares for the price |

Strength:
sounds great all around, handle's high power, great price
Weakness:
when driven hard, the bass falls apart, one of the drivers got fried for no apparent reason, and i lost the receipt, now i run just one of them and it still cranks for the price, i couldn't see how you could find a better value....i am powering my single 6X9 w/a 50X2, bridged to 100X1 mono amp to this speaker and it doesn't break down....i've also run it off of my 23W RMS reciever, and it sounded great...i don't see how you can go wrong.... Strength:
Good highs and lows. Go very loud. Sound very nice.
Weakness:
bass sometimes throbs These are very nice speakers. Unlike a lot of other speakers I have heard, when I turn the bass up, the mids and highs don't go down. But if I set the bass too high, it sometimes throbs. Similar Products Used: None |

Infinity 693.1I
Strength:
It had good highs, that didnt distort. Its a good looking speaker that you can show off.
Weakness:
The bass response I found to be weak, and distorts to much. They cost $250 at retail stores(way to much). You can find them for $150 at online stores, or even a little cheaper at Ebay auctions. I got mine of Ebay.com for $189, which is to much for these speakers. If you want realy good highs, but dont want any bass, then buy this and also a pair of bass blockers, because its bass doesnt sound to good. I was using a 60X2 watt amp, and its highs kept on sounding great, but the woofer couldnt handle it. It distorted to much Similar Products Used: I have used 6 differant 6x9s while in a 11 month period. I have used Pionner, Phase linear, Houston Accoustic, Infinity Kappa, DHD, and have now bought new Pioneers. Of all these, the Pioneer was the best overall. Excelent bass, and excelent highs. I have now bough the newest Pionner compresion horn 6x9s, they are supposed to be the bes, I hope they are. |

Strength:
very clean, plays very loud, high frequencies are the best
Weakness:
the speaker grills kept falling off, i have them in my front doors, so i had to super glue them in i got a pair of these for $100 brand new ( i know a guy who works at the harmon/kardon outlet store) and I will never regret this. These are some of the cleanest sounding speakers i have ever heard and i reccomend them to anyone who wants clean realistic sound |

Great bass response
Weakness:
Very expensive I doubt you will find a finer 6x9 in this price range. The bass is excellent and quite extended for a 6x9. Highs are accurate but still bright. Highly reccomended. |

Well defined highs and mids, great bass. I've got mine hooked up to a MTX 100 w/rms x 2 amp
Weakness:
As with all 6x9s, the oval shaped bass driver tends to distort at high volumes. These speakers wont sound good with less than 50 watts RMS apiece I love infinity. They make some good sh*t. Similar Products Used: More than a tad better than the factory Delco 6x9s made ten years ago. |

Strength:
Crisp highs with no distortion at higher bass levels, woofers definately could be mistaken for an 8 in my hatchback
Weakness:
Woofer distortion at high volumes, as with any oval cone Beatiful sounding speakers, excellent compliment to my Kappa Perfect 6.1s in the front. Bass response is outstanding, I knew i wanted Infinity products from day one, and they only reinforced my belief in their company. Highs are beautiful and crisp, on a large range of music, from trance to rap to dave matthews, and everything else in between. Running the rear two channels from a Rockford Fosgate 800.4 amp, at 100W RMS the sound couldn't be cleaner. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Great Sound, high quality, nice amount of wattage handling for 6x9's
Weakness:
does distort if turned up to earplug needed level, but that just might be because I don't have enough wattage going to them yet. Very pleased with my purchase, the highs are crystal clear the lows can hit very well, I'm only running 22 watts rms (from my tuner) right now and they sound great. can't wait to hear them with an extra 40 watts added to em. I listen to a wide variety of music and they've sounded good on all accounts. Infinity can do no wrong by me. Similar Products Used: Pioneer 6x9's, I think delco makes some better than pioneer. |
