Strength:
Good price, good range, and good VG-2 detection.
Weakness:
A little bit higher in price than a Whistler model that does the same. I only paid $110 for this. It picks up all radar bands, and has 360 degree laser protection. The range is great, and it also gives less false alarms than the Whistler model does. I haven't had trouble with false VG-2 detection, and it has went off when I was near a cop...which means it should be pretty accurate. Similar Products Used: Whistler DE1610 |

Strength:
Voice alert was cool.
Weakness:
Had great X-band sensitivity, but it is an old band and is pretty much being replaced with K and Ka-bands. The K and Ka band range was bad; I had to be right next to a cop for it to detect his radar, and he was stationary! I paid $130 for it because it was on sale, and now I know why. I wouldn't recommend this detector. It's pretty much useless. Similar Products Used: I have a Passport 6800, and it is a lot better than this Cobra. |

Strength:
Cheap, small unit.
Weakness:
X-band is too sensitive, K/Laser not sensitive enough This unit worked just fine for the first 6 months then all of a sudden wouldn't detect anything even though it powers up. Cobra weren't too helpful in their online support either. |

Strength:
Loud Alert, Auto Mute, Voice Alert, pretty good protection
Weakness:
Suctions to window fail after 1.5 years, no option for straight cord, luck of the draw (See overall impression) I think there are good units and bad units. My friend and I have the exact same unit, purchased at the same time, and they perform completly different. My unit works very well, where as, his unit fails to alert him of most radar traps.
