Strength:
Voice Alert is nice feature. Has output for external speaker hookup. Pick's radar good at a distance. As auto-mute feature so it beeps then silences itself so doesn't get annoying. Doesn't draw much power I accidently left mine on for a full weekend with car parked and it still started right up.
Weakness:
False alerts from security products (stores and stuff) usually X band so I just ignore it. Also picks up big farm eq. (tractors, combines, sprayers) and gives false reading. Voice alert is pretty quiet if you have music up loud. Mounting eq that came with it sucks (I use velcro works a lot better) Goes crazy when alternator stops charging, but all electronics do that. Had the detector for awhile (acouple years). It works rather well in my opinion. I've had it pick up Ka from over 6 or 7 city blocks in traffic on straights. I haven't tested Lasar yet cause haven't got beamed with it. |

Strength:
The voice alert is nice if it worked properly.
Weakness:
Radar detection distance is to short. This radar detector has got to be the biggest piece of scrap I have ever purchased. It picks up the police after they are already 3 feet away from me. DO NOT buy this product. |
