Avic 9DVD II
Strength:
Excellent advert for the opposition
Weakness:
No back up support, poor quality product, expensive piece of junk. Pioneer feel that they are invincible and disregard the consumer. Purchased the Avic 9 DVD II- complete with the 6400 head unit & CD Changer. Worked well for 3 months and disk damaged inside the unit, replaced and worked for another 3 months and same problem. Pioneer in the UK refused to take responsibility for it and said that it was not their fault. Machine was tested and when returned to car same thing happened. I purchased another CD (£250.00+) and after about 3 months, the same thing happened. Disk was "skimmed" and worked for about 3 weeks when the same thing happened. - Pioneer still refuse to take responsibility. I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy. Pity this site limits worst to 1 star, I think the product / company deserves 5 "Black Holes" Similar Products Used: Alpine - Great equipment TomTom - Ipaq3900 - great equipment |

2002 AVIC-90DVD
Strength:
Calculates quickly (perhaps it should take more time)
Weakness:
Can't create a logical route to a destination. Takes obscure, out of the way routes. Not very smart when calculating routes. Seems to always want to take the LONG way to a destination. Can't get it to take the LOGICAL way to a destination. Similar Products Used: Garmin Streetpilot III. Much better at routing. |
