Strength:
Size, reliabilty, sound quality.
Weakness:
It''s a little pricey, but I got a good deal on mine used. Check ebay. I actually have a MDX-60 but from what I can tell it has the same specs. This is a great unit. I deliberated for a while whether I should get a MD head unit with a CD changer, or a CD head unit and a MD changer. I finally decided on the CD HU & MD changer because I figured that anyone riding in the car would more likely have a CD to play than an MD and since the CD changer is bigger, it would have ended up in the trunk. Plus the ability to shuffle between my MD''s which are mostly mixes put the icing on the cake. I''m so glad I went with the MD changer. It is so small it fits in my armrest, NEVER skips, the shuffle works great, I could go on and on. If you use MD''s, get the Sony changer -- I hardly ever use my CD player anymore. |

Strength:
Doesn't skip, no silence between disc changes, digital output, reliable.
Weakness:
Doesn't support MDLP. I haven't had any problems with my MDX-65. I mounted it in the center console and it looks great. Coupled with my CDX-C90, I can view all MD disc/track titles at once. It's a great setup. I especially like the fact that there is no silence between disc changes due to the buffer memory. Similar Products Used: MDX-62, MDX-400 |

Strength:
Small compact size, lack of fuss.
Weakness:
Front loading door a little plasticky, but thats it! A great unit, works well with my Ford Puma 6000 headunit. Nice punchy bass and fits nicely in the glovebox. I only wish I knew it used phono cables to connect as I could have given the installer a better quality pair than the standard issues whilst he was fitting. Oh well, something for the next upgrade.Leave your vulnerable CD's at home and go the Mini-Disc route!!!! Similar Products Used: None |

Weakness:
price...450 I have this hook up to the sony head unit cdx-m750... kinda disappointed that my head unit doesn't have a digital optical output, but the sound is still outstanding, very clear! strongly recommend this product... Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
easy to use easy to install . Fits into 2000 Nissan Frontier glovebox!
Weakness:
Ity provides an optical conector But to my knowledge ther is no head unit availiable to make that connection. The sound quality from my home theater to the head unit Sony cdx-m750 is just not there ! When are they going to start digital connections for car audio? So my gripe is not with the unit but with the car audio manufacturers!!! Similar Products Used: none |

Strength:
Great all the way around... Almost makes up for the lackluster cdx-c880.
Weakness:
None. Fantastic all the way around.. An audio product that actually does what it is advertised to is AMAZING. Similar Products Used: Sony JE-520 |

I just got this changer with the wiring for my Ford Exploer 1997 XLT and must say it was a snap to install. The sound quality and size of the unit warrant an excellent review. The unit fit in the console perfectly and its features including the night light feature are beautiful. I give it a 5...all around. |
