Strength:

Simple design Looks good Powerful deck

Weakness:

Slightly overpriced No MP3 Playback

-Note: Price paid is Australian Dollars This CD Player looks great and has a real simple layout and design. The "motion blade" eject helps stop dirt and dust from entering the unit and although not ultimately overly important, it is easier than pushing a small eject button when driving. It is quite a powerful unit and comes with features that you would have to normally spend alot more to get. Personally however I feel it is slightly overpriced due to the 'Sony' name, however because I got it at less than half of the original price ($390 AU) because its an outdated model it was definetely value for money. If I was paying the original price It would be better with an MP3 player, rather than having to spend even more to get the next model up with MP3 capabilty.

Strength:

Price-cheap reliable. Crutchfield.com sent me all the installation parts and instructions. easy to use detachable faceplate power 23.2 RMS and 52peak

Weakness:

remote is sold sepretly. Volume only goes up to 34 so there isn't much room for volume tuning like Pioneer CD players I saw that went up to 65. I like varibility when it comes to sound.

SONY.What else do I have to say? SOny head units are top quality and not to hard on the wallet. I bought this CD player because I needed one for my soon to be Plymouth Neon. Its a nice CD player for less than $150. It's easy to use and the "blade" is real helpful becuase instead of floding down the faceplate and changing the CD, all you have to do is push the "blade" down. Makes it a whole lot easier watching the road and changing the disc. 18FM preset stations is cool becuase instead of seeking them, all you have to do is hit one button. has only one set of preamp outputs(R) and has 23.2/52 watts of power. FM Mono Sensitivity is low at a 9(the ability to pick up FMradio signals, the smaller the number, the better) Signal-to-noise ratio in dB's is an amazing 120. This unit has 7 preset equlizers and can be set to play music out of the front, back, right side,or left side. Also can adjust high's,mid's,and low's. Even has a LPF option(Low Pass Filter) which is used when an external amp is hooked up to run a subwoofer. Keeps the Mid's and High's out of the subs. Another cool thing about this CD player is that regular volume ATT(mutes it when pushed and goes back to the volume you were just at when you press it again) and has a subwoofer volume adjuster.
