Strength:

Um, yeah, it plays music? (SOMETIMES)

Weakness:

-Poor CD scrolling -Poor Track/Radio Scrolling -Poor Cd playing (lots of noise) -Dies quickly -Buttons are crude and break

CRAP! Not only does it skip over ever bump, but you can't skip from the first track to the last, you have to go all the way through alllll the tracks to listen to the last song, unless you want to listen to the CD all the way through. ON top of that, the damn thing just DIES before it's even a year old.

Model Reviewed: 2001

Strength:

Cheap

Weakness:

Can't seek backwards past the first track to get to the last track. That becomes annoying when your forward seek button sticks and you have to listen to an entire CD to get to the end. (trust me, it will)

I am so tired of seeing the Sony name on car audio equipment. They should stick to making TVs. This unit had the same problems that the Sony I bought in '93 had. The inadequate buttons stick or break completely and the display weakens. It's hard to enjoy your stereo with only 75% of your buttons. This particular unit skips terribly if it will even accept a CD. (non scratched CDs, mind you) Both units lasted less than a year. Their second rate service matches their second rate products, also. Try to get some support online. I realize the CDX-L250 is a low end unit, but this type of performance is unacceptable at any price. The first Sony unit I had cost over $400. (I can't remember the model)

Model Reviewed: I''m not sure what year.

Strength:

Decent sound. Doesn''t skip.

Weakness:

I definitely think that the 45x4 watt output is inaccurate. It feels more like 20....30 at most.

I got this unit when my last sony CD player broke down and started eating my CDs. It doesn''t sound terrible but it feels underpowered.
