Strength:

Clean power pumping to speakers (50W X 4). Nice display. Easy to use remote. Don''t really need a manual to work this thing.

Weakness:

It would be nice if the song title and artist automatically scroll when the track starts to play. Takes about 2-3 seconds for each mp3 song to load, but I can sacrifice with 146 tracks to play with now. If only there was a way to type in the track you want to play instead of skipping 50 tracks to get to track 51.

This HU is great! It is easy to use and has a beautiful 3D display, especially during night time.

Strength:

high clean sound, beautiful display, mp3 player, sub control, about everything

Weakness:

so many features - you will have to dedicate a whole weekend to learn how to use this machine.

this pioneer machine is heavnly. the combination of a best quality cd player , mp3 player and amazing display just can''t let you down. the only problem is that i am living in israel and the prices are high (600$-700$). but it worth every $. i have owned kenwood, blanpunkt , and aiwa which dont even get close and the only cd that is getting close is clarion. i love pioneer!!!!!!!!!!!

Strength:

Display, screen savers, power, sound quality, reads CD-R, CD-RW

Weakness:

* Delay between the tracks. I think that''s the first mp3 Pioneer player :) * Track list to search the music (it''s terible to find a music in cd with more than 120 tracks...)

Very good... Use the car cd player to hear mp3 music it''s amazing ! Before I buy it I were using a 836 with dsp deq-p800. The sound were strange and artificial. With this player I felt the diference... The equalizer has a good setup and easy to personalize. Actualy its a good choice; the quality and beauty of a Pioneer with MP3 player.

Strength:

Graphics, power, mp3 support, subwoofer control and crossover, tons of other features also.

Weakness:

Nothing major at all, maybe the buttons and button labels could be a bit bigger, but I just use the remote mainly!

There''s a reason this deck is the #1 selling deck right now... awesome 3d effects, a powerful internal amp, tons of features (Subwoofer control, built in crossover etc.) and most of all: MP3 capability! I have a CD-R with 145 tracks on it, all of which can be played on this deck! That''s like 8 hours of music! Though there is a delay in between tracks, it''s tolerable for the amount of music I can put on my CDs now! I love this deck and would reccomend it to anyone!

Alpine CDA-7863... another very good deck, and I tend to like Alpines more, but I paid less for this one on ebay, and I love the mp3 features and grapihcs.. so this one is better..

Strength:

EL display looks great. Very strong internal amp (best I''''ve ever used). Very good DSP control and effects. Built in 2-way crossover. Cool pop-out volume knob.

Weakness:

Reads mp3 data slowly (but probably no slower than any other car mp3-disc player).

I couldn''''t wait to get this deck installed. If you''''re interested in this receiver, then you''''ve probably checked out the JVC KD-SH99 also. Well, I''''ve now owned both so here''''s my thoughts on each. Ergonomics - The Premier has a brighter display, the 4 way toggle makes it easier to change between folders (unless you use the JVC''''s remote), and the remote is easier to use (wide rubber buttons instead of small, dome shaped buttons). The JVC does display more characters at once which makes it easier to identify the track. Performance - Both are about the same in reading mp3 tracks (much slower than an ordinary CD). The Premier has a noticably more powerful internal amp (this won''''t matter if you are going to use all external amps). It also has a more powerful DSP/EQ and a high pass crossover. Otherwise, the JVC''''s performance was about the same as the Premier. Other - At first I thought the Premier looked better, but after installing both I discovered that I actually preferred the looks of the JVC. The all aluminum face just looks classy. Don''''t get me wrong, the EL display on the Premier looks great too. The other nod for the JVC is the cool motorized faceplate. The faceplate for the JVC is also easier to re-attach. Overall - For my needs (high power interal amp and a powerful built-in DSP) the Pioneer is just a little bit better than the JVC.

Strength:

2 Sub outputs, EQ features, it''s a Pioneer!

Weakness:

SOOOOO many features!

This CD/MP3 combo is one of the best from pioneer. I''ve only had this baby for 1 week, and I absolutely love the displays and features. I installed it myself in a 93 Cherokee, and this is the first step for my new system.
