Strength:
Nice layout, easy control. Nice audio options, and pretty plain and simple, just how I like it. Couldn't live without the remote.
Weakness:
Scrolling the title is a weakness, I think it should scroll by itself. I think there should also be an extra set of RCA's for subs only, because I had to hook my amp for my subs to the rear RCA outputs. The lack of sub control kinda annoys me. Love the deck, hope it don't die on me, I've been using it for about half a year, with no problems, i use a lens cleaner every once in a while (1 month or so). Another thing, I can see this on the face of the deck, it says "Main Sub". What is that? can anyone help me out? I ain't never seen it light up ever. But, overall, I'm glad I got it, no one else around me got it, and I get straight props!! Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Good layout, good console readability and graphical representation. Easy to use and flexible audio-setup.
Weakness:
After about 1 year of use playback-quality starts deteriorating until no MD's can be played anymore... (ERROR -30 and ERROR -21) or just ejects disk upon trying to read TOC. When it reads a MD, playback is choppy and broken up. Probably head neads to be cleaned (although several cleaning session with an MD-lens-cleaner have had no positive results). It also might be a defective pre-read buffer or really filty lens. At the moment I am only able to use the radio... MD's cannot be read anymore. I am not sure wether to recommend this headunit or not since I am really getting extremely frustated about the fact that just after going O.O.W. the MD-player went FUBAR. Probably it needs a thorough cleaning, if this will not solve the problem I am currently having I would not recommend it since the price/lifetime comparision is way too far off! Strength:
Plays well, sounds really nice. Definately a difference from my stock Acura CD Deck.
Weakness:
When bass hits hard, noticeable delumination. Titles do not scroll unless you press a button, and then it only scrolls once. No other title settings I paid $380.00 for the unit. I personally like the way it looks. Although it could include a few more options. Don't get me wrong, I personally like it, but I feel as if Pioneer left out a lot. For the price it's definately a great buy, but try others before you choose. |

Strength:
VERY well done display and awesome graphics.
Weakness:
Remote control kinda messed upp This is one of THE best MD receivers you can buy. Pioneer obviously put a lot of work to produce the great sound and aesthetic quality. |

Wow, it sounds very very good with my home-recorded MDs.And Pioneer also has had a good tuner, and very acceptible amp and a new lo'go.MD sounds in car clearer and more crisp than CD (as my old car has a CD/Tuner).I liked the enthausiastic sound of MD in the car.(by the way, I'm listener of %80 Jazz, %20 Classic&other).I'd like to say my speakers are MB-QUART QM2213 KX component system ,probably this German made-speakers are the part of reason of my enthausiast. Also an MD has very small to storage inside a car (probably you don't need so much any MD-Changer?),good covered to protect against scratch and something. Now CD is over for me,go ahead to MD. |
