SAME PIONEER remote, really flat. The unit gets very complicated when you access the advanced controls.

I actually went into the market looking at the DEH-3500, but i came across the 6400 and i was like...NICE both the unit and the price. The 3500 was 180 and the new 6500 was 275, so the 6400 was just ripe(pricewise). Hey I have no general complaints about the unit. Its very solid and the graphics are great. Sound is SWEET on all spectrums and frequencies. It was a big step up from my older units. Looks real nice at night too.

This deck is amazing!! The sound is unbeleivable, I can turn the volume all the way up to 50 and it makes my speakers scream, with no distortion at all. I can control the bass from my mtx81000d amp and my subs. you can customize different setting. So you can have great sound quality, then at the press of a button pounding bass. oh yeah and the graphics are crazy. at night people in the car behind you can see it clearly, its bright, like I had a neon light

Awesome sound, high power, FM radio sound quality is good, XM-ready, so many features and audio adjustments.

Detachable faceplate is sometimes difficult to remove.

This head unit rocks!!! The sound quality is excellent, not to forget the good power. The organic EL display is a very nice feature to have, great graphics! I couldn't compare it to any other deck that I've owned, and it's such a great buy.

Look, this unit should be compared to Kenwood's competition cd-receiver. It controls everything... highs, mids, lows... even the woofers completly!!! I have a 6 month baby girl... and about 2000 watts in the back of my Expedition... I can turn the bass OFF completly... plus it versitile. You can adjust the unit to sound any way you want it to, with ease, Pioneer made it user friendly... Look, I got rid of my in-dash flip-out monitor with TV receiver just to have this dolphin screen to enhance my system... the AUX mode is on the same level as CD mode... power and perfection!!!! I will never have another in dash unit other than this one!!!!

detachible face dont always detach and screws it up and gets hung sometimes other than that none.

Its a very nice head unit. Looks good works great. Lots of options and very cool graphics. The EQ has lots of options also. Has different videos which are nice, dolphins, F1 race and other small ones. And more power than you would expect 50 x 4 and 70X1@2ohms for the sub too.

i found it difficult to figure out how to turn on and off the AUX outputs for the subwoofers.

before i switched to this head unit i was using a blaupunkt unit and it could not even compare to the options, graphics, or ease of use that this unit has. i hooked up my 6x9 speakers only at first just to tell if i could hear a difference in quality of sound and i was blown away by the amazing difference that it made. i turned the unit up a quarter of the maximun limit and it sounded louder and more powerful than the blaupunkt turned up all the way. this unit improved my system by 100%. i highly recommend it.

This unit is great, it is one of the best pioneer unit you can find. If your looking for a pioneer model look no further this is the essential pioneer unit. The sound come out really clear. And the graphics are great to look at also.

Outstanding adjustability and sound.

Changing display.

This is a terrific head unit with enough adjustability to satisfy the most finicky listener or environment. The display is outstanding, but it is programmed to switch from a black background with blue letters one minute, then a blue background with black letters which switches back and forth every 20 seconds. This is frustrating to no end while driving at night and eventually forces you to open up the faceplate to blacken the display.
