Model Reviewed: 2001.

Strength:

Excelent radio reception, CD mechanism, sound and appearance.

Weakness:

No code protection.

Excelent CD-receiver for its price. I compared tuner reception with more expencive Kenwood & Blaupunkt tuners in tunnels and other places with weak signal and Pioneer had the best result. CD mechanism was another nice surprise - the unit is installed in Renault Twingo (50 degree angle) and it never skipped on our horrible roads. Buttons look reliable and more solid than some i saw on Sony, Kenwood and JVC units in that price class. Display offers everything I expect from it - descreet but pleasant for eye (1330R version). Let''s not forget the sound - it is much better than I expected and the amp doesn''t have any problem with 200 watt Kenwood KFC-6907 speakers.
