Strength:
Looks, price (at least for what I paid for), can control subwoofer, I always liked Panasonic's quality anyway
Weakness:
display sometimes hard to see during the day, much rather have a knob for volume. I was able to get a great deal off the net for this deck. About $260. It's very nice looking, especially at night and the built-in amp is more than sufficient. I really like that I can control my subs without going in the trunk and adjusting the amp. Similar Products Used: Kenwood, honestly I don't see a big difference in sound quality between my old Kenwood deck that cost $190 and this deck. If you want this deck www.millionbuy.com sells it real cheap unless you can get it on E-Bay for less. |

Strength:
I love the way it lights up at night!!! But other than that, it doesn't have alot of features.
Weakness:
It would be nice if you could turn the sub crossover off because most all amps have a crossover. Also I would have liked it more if it had a pause instead of mute and then a soft mute where it would still play but at a lower volume, the way the face attaches is kind of cheesy, panasonic says it looks like a mirror when its off but it looks purple when its off, and it didn't even play as loud when i had my stock nissan deck with a portable cd player with that tape car adapter!!! For the price i paid for this deck, it is not worth it at all. If you can find it for about 200 bucks then its worth it, but only if you want an okay system. If you want a reciever that is for competition or high end, then go with either a kenwood excelon or pioneer premier. Similar Products Used: kenwood, alpine, pioneer |

Strength:
- sound features, 3d is great
Weakness:
- can't really see during day, i love it, its looks are ten out of ten and the sound is at least eight even with stock speakers... experience with the remote went well, and the aux output is great for my portable mp3 player! the price i paid is well worth it, i feel... Similar Products Used: compared to alpine, sound quality around the same can't really tell, stock speakers turned into aftermarket so it doesn't make a difference with me anyway... looks better then the rest anyway... |

Strength:
The look of this receiver at night is just spectacular. The amp does things my old Sony couldn't match up with, and there are more outputs and inputs than I know what to do with. The 5volt subwoofer output finally lets my amp in the trunk work the way it was meant to! I needed the built-in crossover and level adjustment, big +'s. Next project: hooking up the center channel speaker.
Weakness:
During the day, the display was almost unreadable, but the way the controls are set up I can even work it with gloves on. Can't load or eject a CD unless the key is in the ignition. Only had it in my car for a day now but I'm more than happy with my purchase. The amp power is clean, the outputs make life easy on external amplifiers, and the display rocks at night (when it matters most lol). All in all a great mid-level deck with room to expand and features enough so you won't have to. Similar Products Used: Sony model 140 something. It was a really nice deck for a few years, but I had to send it in for service (defective CD tracking), and the rotary control was a piece. It was fine for what I wanted though. Got a better job, time to upgrade the stereo. For $200 it's well worth the price. Almost bought a simiilar Pioneer model, but the display looked too crammed full of tiny indicators. |

Strength:
This is unbelievable to watch at night. The night I out it in, I just sat and looked at it. I instantly noticed an improvement in sound quality even through the stock speakers.
Weakness:
The remote needs to have a way to select your presets. Difficult to see during the day. I thnik this is the absolute best CD receiver I have ever seen or heard. Similar Products Used: Doesn't compare. |
