The KDC-MP819 plays not only conventional CD, CD-R, and CD-RW discs, but also your MP3-encoded CD-Rs and RWs. Plus, it's ready for Sirius® Satellite Radio: 100 national channels of music, talk, and news that follow you no matter where you drive. System Q Sound Control gives you five pre-set EQ curves (Rock, Jazz, etc.) and three speaker-matching EQ curves, for tone-tailoring. A built-in 50 watts x 4 amplifier provides impressive power, and 0-Bit Mute auto-mutes the unit's DAC for total silence when there's no digital signal (like between tracks). The multi-color fluorescent display has a full dot-matrix readout with a smoked lens, and for security the flip-down faceplate is removable. Also provided are front and rear pre-outs (so you can add power amps), an AUX input, and a 10-key remote control.
