Strength:

Great looking face, sound was loud and clear, face positioning

Weakness:

Mask was annoying at times, still got stolen despite MASK (don't worry I got it back and gave it to my brother)

It was a good system when I had it. I really liked the different angles the face could be positioned in and the graphics on the display.

I got it for aroung $350 and thought I finally had a steal-proof deck but was wrong. Luckily the thief was an idiot and I got it back. The deck has a lot of pluses and not too many minuses, but it all comes down to looks for me because the performance was good. Could have used a dedicated sub-out though.

Strength:

colorful displays, excellent graphics, nice power and the mask just makes it perfect.

Weakness:

too cool, everyone wants to steal it !

I paid $282 at www.gwpusa.com, they really gave me a good deal, the original price of this unit is $499.99. I recommend this unit because it has lots of functions that other units won't give you. It makes my hooked up 97 tercel sound good, and also look good cause you can change the color of the unit, the sound display shows exactly how your music is being analized. Many people that drive with me want to get this unit cause is absolutely excellent. You wont go wrong with this!

Strength:

MASK, power.

Weakness:

Poor signal to noise ratio (compare to Excelon), and an irritating pigtail tuner pack which makes it that much more cumbersome when installing the unit. Hideous remote control.

Paid 380.00. Excellent deck for the non-audiophile. I was amazed at how much power the receiver had going to my factory speakers - a lot of authority and better than most decks. I didn't care for the "looks" of the remote control but I won't complain since it's better than nothing. Overall, this unit is good but I really wish I paid a little more to get the x-overs, sub-out, and playback quality of the Excelon units.

Strength:

Loaded with features. Crisp clear sound output. Comes with remote control, optional steering wheel remote available.

Weakness:

No subwoofer outs.

Overall I have been very happy with this unit. I initially had it pushing the factory speakers for about a month and they improved in sound 110%.
I recently installed all new speakers and a 4 channel amp running my front/rear speakers, and a 2 channel pushing a sub. I was a little dissapointed that the unit did not have a subwoofer rca out. In result I can not control the sub volume from the head unit.
One other thing I find annoying with the unit, is that if you are listening to the radio and open the faceplate to eject or put in a cd...it cuts out the sound for a moment until the face is all the way down. Some people may not care, but it bothered me a little.
This head unit is loaded with goodies, being the best model you can get before jumping into the Excellon line. I have been very happy with it's performance and sound output. All the features are very easy to get used to and within a week I had operation down pat. I would suggest getting the optional steering wheel remote control if you have a truck or SUV. It may be an uncomfortable reach to the radio for you.
I paid $315.00 US for this model from an internet retailer. Just shop around for a good deal. I installed the unit myself with great ease. It was even my first self-install! Came out beautiful. :)

Strength:

Lots of Options

Weakness:

Can not turn the unit off when not wanting to listen to anything without the faceplate closing. It will not reopen/turn back on until you turn off and on the ignition or press a hard to push button hidden and very hard to push.

Like the unit, sounds great as already said. Wife really likes the colorful display which is a plus. Lack of sub output is kinda a week point. Can also control a Kenwood CD Changer, also can change the color of the display from blue to amber if you own a BMW and want to keep the dash colors the same. Installed myself and wasn't a problem in about 3 hours. Bought online from www.wholesaleconnection.com for $289 including FedEx overnight shipping.
