Strength:

Lot's of features. Good crossovers and FM reception.

Weakness:

Unit skips easily.

All in all I found this to be a decent unit. It is chock full of features and has an excellent display. The amps in this unit are very peppy as well. The crossover slopes could be a little sharper but that is a minor issues. Overall they work very well and can even make OEM speakers sound much better. My only problem with this deck is that it is upset rather easily. When putting the music up loud the bass in the car is enough to make the unit skip(I run double 18's in a Swift) I could not use this deck for SPL comps as I could not play the test tones loud enough without the CD player skipping. Excellent unit for everyday use but for any type of SPL over say 130 Db's forget it.

Similar Products Used:

I have auditioned and used decks by Pioneer, Alpine, Clarion, Sony and Panasonic. Kenwood has better features for the price but it skips worse than the low end lines of the othre manufacturers.
