Audio is great and most features work well.
Weakness:
the clock sucks...did I say it sucks . well it does it cant keep time. My $3.00 watch keeps far superior time to this thing. This is a great Stereo sound is above average due mainly to advanced features. The clock whick should be a simple function doesn't set time properly and doesn't keep time at all! |

CLEAN SOUNDING UNIT WITH ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES. SLEEK FACE PLATE WITHOUT BEING TOO FLASHY. HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO GET THE HEAD UNIT TO SKIP SINCE I'VE HAD IT. MOTORIZED FACE PLATE WORKS FLAWLESSLY.
Weakness:
ENTERING NAMES FOR ALL CD'S MANUALLY. SHOULD HAVE DIFFERENT COLORS OF DISPLAYS TO CHOOSE FROM. GOT IT FOR $450 AFTER SOME WHEELING AND DEALING. IT HASN'T DONE ME WRONG YET, EXCELLENT SOUNDING UNIT. RIGHT UP ON TOP WITH ECLIPSE. YOU CHOOSE. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
screensavers, RDS, motorized face plate
Weakness:
add a clarion remote eq - no spectrum analyzer. I have had this unit for over three years now. It's been sent to be fixed for the remote EQ plug which was not fixed twice. I gave up and bought a new eq. The motorized face plate still works flawlessly. Buttons seem to loose their paint in time. The unit shuts off frequently now because of poor contacts between the face and unit. Very bright panel at night can be annoying. attractive screensavers. Nice sounding unit, solid, rarely skips. RDS is nice if you can find a station that has it. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
I like the option of the fully motorized face, the different hook up's -- for example R.D.S., Cd Changer, Tv Tuner, Playstation, etc.....
Weakness:
The RDS it hits whenever it wants, still trying to find out what everything does. It doesn't have any channels by that I mean (2 or 4 channels) nothing it only excepts amps that's why it has 6 preouts and they are 4 volt $ 400 It was on a closeout sale and it was worth every penny. I love this deck it is definetly worth the money I paid for it Similar Products Used: Pioneer's top on the line deck with a built in Computer |

Strength:
Excellent, excellent sound. WIthout a doubt one of the cleanest sounding head units available on the market. Requires an external amplifier which I consider a plus as this allows you to equip your vehicle with plenty of clean power for your main speakers. 4-volt outputs help with the clean sound.
Weakness:
The display tends to be overly bright at night with no way to adjust the intensity. The display also has a tendency to be washed out in direct sunlight due to the shiny, clear plastic covering the LCD. RDS seems to be more of a pain than a benefit as it appears that all of the stations I run into here in the Midwest are broadcasting the wrong time which the radio picks up on. All weaknesses aside, I have used and lived with this head unit for 2 years now and enjoy it far better than any previous head unit. It has been extremely trouble-free, and I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to purchase a high-end head unit. At the time I purchased it, it was extremely expensive, but you can find these on Ebay for a decent price (albeit used). Similar Products Used: Far better than anything else I have compared it to and my previous head units have been Alpines and Pioneers. |

Strength:
A great unit with 6 RCA preouts (no amp) 4 volt output and plenty of controls for anything you hook to it, ie eq, etc.Screen savers are neat. Easy to use remote.
Weakness:
Clarion changed to screen saver from sound actuated graphics on previous model. Also cannot override RDS feature. If stations in the area broadcast wrong time, your stuck with it. Worth a look even at the 600 pricetag. Similar Products Used: Have been using Clarion units since the 9300T was their best in the early 80's. Good units and great service if there is ever a problem, which is rare. |

I've just replaced my Kenwood Car CD player with the Clarion DRX9375R. The Clarion gives 2 front, 2 rear and 2 non fading pre-amp outputs at 4Volts and doesn't a built-in amp. The sound quality on this machine is excellent. All the frequency range is reproduced clearly and the sound is very clean. The bass is well controlled and not muffled while the highs are extremelly clean but not bright. Although it has many features and fancy tricks do not buy it for them, buy it for the sound quality! |

Strength:
Clean sound, digital out to DSP, cool screen savers, DSP functions
Weakness:
must have separate analog out for radio I've had the unit for 2 yrs and it's performed the way it was meant to, as a top of the line unit. Extremely clean sound, rarely ever skips and the DSP functions are nice. I got it at about half of wholesale cost because it was on clearance, so it was the deal of the century. I used to sell car audio, and I compared it to the top units from Alpine, Sony, Kenwood and Pioneer. It has the same if not better performance than any of them. If you are into nice sound for your ride and don't mind spending the money (remember you'll still need at least 1 amp), this unit is definitely one that you should consider. One more thing, you can adjust the contrast of the screen so it doesn't glow as if it were radio active. Similar Products Used: Sony ES |
