Strength:

Great clean power. though rated at 35x4 it sounds much better. Simple easy to use controls. good layout. no problems with cd-r's.

Weakness:

none.

I didn't experience any problems playing cd-r's. The sound quality is excellent. This receiver is priced similarly to a lot of crap by other brands. it may not have a lot of flashy features, but it is a very solid unit; and excellent buy for the price.

AIWA CDCX407 though it looks a little cooler and is rated at 45x4, I think the Blau sounds better and is easier to use.

Strength:

The CD-Deck looks good, easy to use, sounds great, and is cheap

Weakness:

Doesent play all burned cd's

I like this CD player, it plays well, and sounds great. It is easy to install and the lights match my interior.
The only thing I didnt like was the fact that it didnt play all burned cd's. If you dont own many burned cd's, i suggest this deck, but if you do, I would look elsewhere.

Strength:

Clear, crisp sound. Practical, easy to use features. Easy to install.. PRICE!

Weakness:

Having problems playing (cheaper) CD-W disks. The higher quality CD-W have no troubles..

Bought this to replace my alpine system that was stolen weeks before. Paid nearly $400.00 for the Alpine, which had a few more feature than the Blaupunkt - not enough to make it worth it. The sound quality is as good or better than the Alpine. It does not skip - I've even tried....
If you are looking for a I/D CD player for under 200. This is the best I've seen - and only $78 at brandsmart usa.... You can't beat it..

Strength:

Clear, deep bass, good tone controls. Simple, easy to use layout of buttons, a huge step up from the original manufacturer's head unit. Detachable face.

Weakness:

Doesn't always play CD-Rs.

I wanted to add a CD player to my 1992 Toyota Camry without spending alot of money, so I bought the RPD440 from Price Club for $129. (It was the only in-dash CD unit they had.) Since this was the first time I had ever tried to install a car audio unit, I didn't realize you either needed a special harness or you had to manually attach 12 wires from the unit to your car. I finally found the color coding for my car at www.installdr.com, and after stressing about cutting out the old unit (it was like cutting wires on a bomb) got the new one installed, no problem.

The RPD440 is one of Blaupunkt's Special Market units (read: value model), but I'm still impressed with the clarity of the sound and the ease of use. Even with my car's stock speakers, the unit has brought new life to the sound system. The treble is crisp, bass is deep but not boomy. Adjusting tone, fade, balance etc. is a bit cumbersome and requires scrolling through a menu, but I suspect given the size of car audio, this is probably a similar problem in all car units.

Overall, happy with this purchase, looking to upgrade amp and speakers now. I would recommend this unit to anyone with an older car looking to add a CD player without spending alot of money. Also, would recommend ordering from Crutchfield or another store that might supply a harness for your car, unless you like twisting wires together.

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS STEREO IS A STRENTH. IT BLOWS OFF EVERY STEREO THAT YOU CAN THROW AT IT. ESPECIALLY CLARION, ECLIPSE, AND AIWA!

Weakness:

NOTHING

THIS IS THE BEST STEREO YOU CAN GET. MY GIRLFRIENDS BROTHER HAS A ECLIPSE 5331 AND IT SOUNDS LIKE IT GONA FALL APART AFTER ON ABOUT A VOLUME OF 70 MINE WENT ALL THE WAY UP TO 80 AND WAS EXTREAMLY LOUNDER. HIS EVEN HAD A 100 WATT AMP. AND MINE DIDN'T HAVE ANY AMP JUST 2 MTX 6-9 AND ROCK FOSSIES 12' PLUS HIS STEREO DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE BASS AT ALL. MINE SHOOK EVEN HIS CAR CAUSE HIS STEREO SUCKED SO BAD!!!!!

Strength:

The Bass and overall volume are good. All I used was this units, 2 4x6 spkrs, and a spkr cabinet, and I got a really good sounding system for a good price. The music is clear and an amplifier really is not necessary to get loud undistorted sound from this system

Weakness:

Its not the most attractive looking head unit in the world, but that's about the only thing i dont like about it

I paid about $150 with tax at a discount store. I bought Jensen 4x6 spkrs for $40 (on sale) and I bought a 350 watt double spkr cabinet at BJ's Warehouse for an amazing $40. BTW I used this in my Jeep Wrangler. I paid about 230 bux, and installed it myself and i get the same loudness and clarity that people who pay 500 bux for the head unit alone pay. I recomend this system to anyone who wants good sound at a great price. Its a budget system that will actually impress people. Im glad i didnt shell out the 250 bux i was planning on to buy this SOny system i was looking at.

The sound is almost as good and i believe louder than the 6-spkr Infinity system my friend has in his Durango
