Strength:
Radio is good and it looks good
Weakness:
Skips at every bump in the road This player has given me lots of problems...it is nice for the radio and sometimes on the cd's but i skips all the time. Also it has eaten and scratched some of my cd's, I am currently looking for new player. If you want to take the risk be my guest, but I wouldn't buy it again. |

Strength:
Sounds very good in stereo and CD's. Will play the CDR's and CDRW's. Visually very attractive. Easy control adjustments. Detachable faceplate.
Weakness:
Lower power and loadness for 45 watts per channel (4) than I would expect. Unbarable CD skips @ every little road bump. CD's skipping, skipping, skipping!!! I never had a CD player skip any close to this one. The only reason for a # 2 rating is the skipping problem, but to me that is very important. All in all the stereo sounds great, the CDR's sound very good, but even @ 45 watts per channel (4), it just does not seem to have the power and loadness I would expect. Visually it is a very attractive unit and easy to make adjustments. I must say I am very dissapointed with the CD's skipping @ every little bump in the road. I believe I should get a replacement unit if this is an uncommon problem, but from other reviews it seems to be common. I strongly feel it should be replaced by a comparable model or upgrade that does not have this extreme skipping problem. Similar Products Used: Pioneer, Kenwood, Clarion |

Strength:
Sounds good (when not skipping) and looks very nice
Weakness:
It sk sk skips like crazy Big problems with this unit. I got it and had it installed at Best Buy but it skipped like crazy at any slight imperfection in the CD or if I went over any pavement that wasn''t flawless. I took it in and they replaced it with a differnt unit, same model. I had the same problem. Now I have a Discman hooked into the Aux Input, and it works OK, but it very annoying. It sounds and looks better than anything else at this price range, but it skips like nothin I''ve ever heard. Other people who have this have complained of this problem but some have not. Take a gamble if you want but I wouldn''t suggest it. Similar Products Used: Stock radio |

Strength:
plays everything / plenty of power / easy to use / sounds great / looks even better!
Weakness:
Uses more gas because I want to stay in my truck all the time. This is a great little CD player. It plays anything you throw at it. Of course, I wasn''t looking for some thing to out due my home systems either. I absolutely love this radio and my kids think the colors are cool too. It has plenty of power and its easy to use all of the features. I bought it at Circuit City and they installed it for free and I recieved a $25 prepaid gas card through the mail in rebate. If you add it all up, it only cost me $69. If you are looking to replace your cassette player or an old cd player or just want a new stereo for your car I would highly recommend this one or the Pansonic CQ-DP101. They both have almost the same identical features but the Panasonic has a better signal-to-noise ratio. However, this one looks so much cooler and the difference in noise ratio is not that significant. Similar Products Used: Pioneer, Clarion |

Strength:
Easy to use, fancy, cool, variety of functions.
Weakness:
Loose connector This product is so cool ''coz of its dual color illumination. But I do have a problem sometimes with the connector between the face plate and the base unit, the button won''t function well sometimes, and I have to turn the ignition off instead of get the power control again. Also, I have to press hard on the connector side in order to get the proper control just ''coz of the poor, and loose connector. Similar Products Used: Sony, Alpine, Keenwood, Pioneer. |

Strength:
plays all cd-r''s and cd-rw''s two different colors for the display detachable face-plate
Weakness:
low preout power This CD player works well for me. Doesn''t skip on rough roads. The blue lightup faceplate is nice. Doesn''t have a very high preout voltage, not much power to the sub. All in all, I have been happy with it and it plays better than my kenwood. Never had a problem with it getting too hot or ejecting the cd. This Aiwa has a lot of different sound controls and the h-bass is nice. Similar Products Used: Kenwood |
