Strength:

the price for the power is amazing. It is also quite versatile because it allows you to benefit from 220rms at 4ohms and 440rms at 2ohms in stereo mode

Weakness:

the size of it is a little sacrificing, but definatley shouldnt turn you off.

Well I have been using this amp for a while now on most installs that I do and I cant help but keep recommending this great amp to anyone who is on a budget.I am currently using this amp on a pair of 10" 18sound loudspeakers and the results are amazing.i bridged the 2 channels to play at 880rms @ 4 ohms then loaded the 2 10" 18sound(8ohm speakers) in order to bring it back down to a 4 ohm load giving them 440rms each.

Because of the high sensitivity of 18 sound and the ability to be able to take great amounts of power, considering that they are midrange speaker, makes this combination DEADLY.This amp is definatly a great buy considering that the price is very reasonable.

Strength:

hits hard

Weakness:

not recommend for comp. subs. i had two replaced in less then a month.

i purchase the 880 and a 180 on 1/9/06. i had the 880 pushing two 12" kicker cvr subs.even tough the amp was adjusted to almost half the power output the amp lasted only a week and a have. so i took it back.i did like the performance so i got the same amp thinking it was just a manufacture defect. but low and behold the next one lasted about the same time. i dont know if anybody else has had this problem.but i will never get a soundstream again to push my subs. the 180 is awesome.

Model Reviewed: XTA 880.2

Strength:

1 - 220 watts RMS into each channel at 4 ohms. 2 - Heavy duty heat sinks 3 - Capacity for large power wires and speaker wires 4 - HPF/LPF and full range filter allow you to tweak the input signal and output it the way you want. 5 - Clean and powerful - does not overstate the power it can deliver like Sony and other cheap amps. I would put this amp up against any similar sony 2 channel amps boasting 800 watts max power any day. 6 - hits like a freight train when used as a sub amp

Weakness:

No true weaknesses except it is a little large. It is comparable in size to ther amps that are of similar quality. Of course you can find a sony amp that promises the power of this amp that is way smaller, but the sony will not deliver, this one does.

880 max watts into 2 channels - 220 watts RMS into each channel with 440 watts max power into each channel. I bought the XTA 880.2 to upgrade my sub amp from a cheap monoblock amp. I wanted something that was quality. This amp is definitely quality. It is kind of big, but not when compared to other amps with similar quality. It has an awesome finish, and the heat sinks are GINORMOUS. The amp looks great, simple and clean with huge aluminum heat sinks. I power two 10" subs with this amp and it totally kicks. The sound is tight and clean with plenty of reserve power. It seams you can turn it up and up and it just hits harder and harder.
