too much heat for a class D amp

I don't own a turantula but a friend of mine has one on 6 HE2 15's in the back of a short wheel base chevy with a port to the front. In my opinion either soundstream is overrated or Rockford, Memphis, and Crossfire are underrated. Two Rockford, Memphis, or Crossfire 1000D's would scare the sh*t out of 1 turantula and the amps have eqaul ratings. With the turantula, he was hitting a 162. Another man at the comp had 4 HE2 10's in an extended cab S10 on 2 1000D's and he was hitting a 168. You do the math and tell me where the turantula stands.

i would just like to say to all you retards out there that the amp may be great but you all are completely nuts thinking that your stock windshields and alternator equipped cars are doing 169s and 170s ive yet to see anyone in the lanes with those amps.......posers.

First off to all those frickin idiots out there that give this amp a bad rating...GET THE HELL OUT OF THE CAR AUDIO FIELD YOU DUMB A**!!!!!!!!! THESE AMPS ROCK SO HARD AND CLEAN I STARTED CRYING WITH JOY!!!!!!!!! My neighbors keep b*tchin about my bass cus sh*t falls of there walls...they told me they were gonna call the cops cause I play it so loud.....O WELL!!!! (do whatch gotta do I told her.) I have a 91 toyota camry and I know its not the best car to install car audio in but I wanted to be the first to break the toyota brierer instead of all this honda and acura sh*t out there. My system includes the following: Sony 750M Car deck, MB Quart (2)31/2's and (2) 4' up in the front and separates 61/2 components in the back with Phonix Gold XS4600 150wrms driving the mids and highs and two soundstreams tarantulas (the best amps you can buy for subs nothing better) with about 2000wrms to each eclipse sub hitting about 169db. Now to all the dumb asses that think JL Audio is better than eclipse better go have the head examined cause they may of had brain damage listening to that sh*t they call music for so long!!!! Listen people if you want to have good amps and you have the money to spend....go get you a pair of titanium 12' eclipse subwoofers and get the mtx already made 1'mdf box and install it in the back of whatever car you have and put at least 2000wrms amp to it and you'll sh*t your pants. Besides I also had to have amps that look really tight as well as my car does. I have my 91 camry lowered 21/2 inches jet pearl black paint job with 18' Niche 1 piece chrome shocks on them 5%black tint and the gtrs big ass wing on the back thats black as well. Not everyone has money to spend on there car like I do in car audio but if your putting the best car audio system together for either spl or sq then follow my specs and you cant go wrong!!!!! (Car Deck also use apline...or...pioneer premier 720,820,920)

you are going to need something like the 15 farad cap by phoenix gold for this monster. Heats up too but that's because of the power being put out.

I paid $1500 for mine about 2 weeks ago. All I can say is what an amp. I live on Nova Scotia and I can't wait until the next comp comes so I can suprise everybody!!! I am running it with 6 15" strokers, have it running at 2 ohm, I don't want to take the chance and try downloading it to 1 ohm because I'm afraid I will blow my strokers. The next best system in Nova Scotia is 4 18" punch xlc's run by a hcca 2100. At least that's what a local stereo shop told me, heard he can almost break 160db's. He better watch out I'm sure I'll be close to 170!!! Best $1500 ever spent other then wife's ring, had to add that incase she read this add... lol.
If you have the money, I definately suggest this amp!!! Going to give it 4 stars for value because it is retailed at $2000 but even thats worth it.

it ruined my awsome speakers and my charging system and my life.

This amp just sucks!! I hooked it up to my sparkomatic 6by9s and within seconds my whole car was flooded with smoke, i loved those speakers they rocked. the stupid amp also burned up my 3 and a halve inch kraco,s and my sound storm tweeters and my altinator on my 1979 honda civic. This amp ruined my once perfect life, im giving up a life of car audio for a better life as a PIMP!!! LOL
