This amp is more than what it tells you it is. It is rated at 50 watts per channel, but does much more. How many 100 watt amps have you seen with 4 awg power and ground connectors? Everything on the amp is overbuilt and under rated. I replaced a Kenwood amp with this one, and could audibly hear a huge improvement in sound quality. I love the wire connections with the teflon surround completely eliminating the chance of shorts.

Because of the oversize power supply, it draws a lot of current.

I paid $230 for it. I would recomend it to anyone over any other amplifier on the market with the exception of it's bigger brothers.

The Kenwood KAC745 I previously used was good, but the Soundstream beats it in every way.

Soundstream's Reference series are good works of art. I've tried all of the REF series amps and they prove to provide great sound quality and power for the buck. The only problem is the power supplies, which tend to fail in about half of them.

Depending on how hard you drive this amp it may thermal cut out I have had it several times but I was pushing it very hard...

I bought this on a reccomendation from a friend and was one of the best amp I had used up until this point. It was very versatile it plays nice clean highs and hard bass. it allows itself to be bridged to 1 ohm stable in mono or 1/2 ohm in stereo. its a heavily under-rated amp I'm very happy with this amp.
