DESCRIPTION

The XM-D1000P5 uses an efficient Class D design to deliver massive power from a relatively small package up to 900 watts (at 2 ohms)! The variable low-pass crossover adjusts the amp's output for the best possible performance from your sub/enclosure combo.

Strength:

cool running circuit! i had 3 fires running alpine amps at this power, but this barely gets warm!

Weakness:

the terminal binding posts for +12v and - are way too small the amp requires 120amp supply n the standard eyelet crimps that size are too big for the terminal on the amp

i'm using the amp along side the xs-l151p5 15 inch sub in a custom box of 67 litres tuned to 35Hz. the amp certainly gives bang for the bucks, though the sub may be the weak link, i've got 136db so far from it, though the bass at times although loud seems false n forced. if you want cheap power then buy it, thought the quoted 800w rms is abit high, if you use sony subs you'll never be able to get that sort of power, though mine is v. loud n i know i can draw much more from it! an excellent amp if you know how to exploit it!
