Here are some pros about this amp:
1) Tremendous power output capability well over 800W

Here are some cons about this amp:
1) Runs very hot, but does not affect performance
2) Gain controls are hard to adjust

I paid about $361 for this amp on http://www.ebay.com/. I would definitely recommend searching for this amp from online wholesalers because you will get a much better deal.

I was amazed at the output capability of this amp. It puts out much more than 800W RMS (slightly over 1KW max on birth sheet) and feeds my two JL 12W3s very well. All I get is clean, tight sounding bass at any volume level. It does tend to get very hot (like blistering hot) when ran at full blast for a while, but I haven't noticed a decline in performance. Also, the easy install and simple exterior design make this amp great for clean, stealthy audio systems.

I would recommend this amp for anyone who needs a lot of clean power....you'll definitely get your money's worth!

Crazy Power

I blew all my subs and now I am looking to sell this amp. I want to get $375 out of it. I paid $599 for it and I have a receipt with 3 years left. Great amount of power. Exactly what I needed. Im running 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect 12s and theyre slammin on this amp.

It does get pretty hot. No other complaints other than that.

Very nice amp. Tends to heat up, but it still holds up well bridged to 2 Ohm Mono. Ive set off car alarms with my system, thats enough power for me personally. I paid $345 for this amp over eBay. Ive seen it prices in Best Buy for $567. This amp puts out serious amounts of power for the money, over 900 watts peak, easily. I would recommend this amp to anyone who doesnt think they have enough power running to their subs. I am very satisfies with this amp so far. Hope this helped anyone tryin to decide on whether or not to buy this amp.

Huge amounts of power.

Runs really HOT.

This thing can put out a massive amount of power. Easily 1000 watts or at least the one I have can. Im running a couple of Boston Pro subs and they are loud as heck. You will want to get a new alternator and/or a power cap for this amp as it does put some heavy drain on your electrical system.

Bass Punch and gain control are real touchy.

I had Competition Soundworks (Cerritos, CA)562-809-3336 do the install on my complete system. Eclipse unit with GPS, dual Aura 275 amps running their MR 6.5 mid/high speakers in both doors and one Aura MR415 amp pushing dual Aura Force 12" subs. Well, the Aura 415 DC'd and burned both voice coils on the subs. Total Junk! I wanted this system right and went with the Forgate 800 and two JL W3D4's. I am very impressed with this system and the install. The subs hit extremely hard. I would NOT recommend the Aura subs or amps to anyone. The two other Aura amps I have are on their way out for new ones, most likely Fosgate ones. The distortion level on the Aura amps are bad and they run HOT, HOT, HOT! I can push those JL's with that fosgate all day without a hitch. What a kick a$$ amp. Make sure you install a cap of at least 1.5 and a better battery might be a wise decision too. If you are in CA I would suggest you give Jason Lee a call at competition soundworks or vist their website at www.teamcsw.com...great work and great support in designing a superior system that works! I hope you guys at CSW read this...Thanks alot for the help!

Everything is kick ass so far.

It heated up on me pretty bad, but I didn't give it enough air, so I'm pretty impressed.

Now, maybe I'm just a price scavenger, but I payed $384 after all taxes and shipping for this, and I can't IMAGINE finding a better amp for cheaper. The one review had said that they found a MTX for $500 that had a little better sound.... um... maybe I could find the same thing for a little cheaper, but I doubt it, the rockford is VERY worth it..... mine was rated at an actual 1020 watts at 2 ohm.... I run it at 2 per channel, I don't need more than that.... it's insane. You can find the amps for good prices if you look around. It makes it much more worth it. I am using 2 12" audiobahns aw-1200 DVC. I never had it tested, but if I open my trunk, I set off car alarms.

I heard my system on a power acoustik apc 1400W before this, no comparison, the rockford blows it away without even flinching.

THE THING THAT I LIKE THE MOST IS THAT YOU GET A LOT OF POWER AND I DO MEAN ALOT (916 WATTS ON MINE TO BE EXCACT) AT 4 OHMS.YOU DON'T HAVE TO DROP THE OHM LOAD DOWN TOO 2 OR WORSE YET 1 WHICH CAN MAKE THE AMP GET HOT,AND THE BASS SLOPY.

I THINK I GOT MY AMP FOR AROUND $600 AND COMP. TO THE OTHERS OUT THERE ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY I WOULD HAVE PAYED MORE IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN IT WAS GOING TO BE THIS GREAT OF AN AMP. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS AMP TO ANYONE ANYWHERE ANYTIME WITH ANY TYPE OF SUBS THEY WANT TO RUN.

I think the rockfords amps are unbeatable they have limitless power and clean transparent sound tight deep bass
i just cant seem to get these amps to distort the puch series are exellent if not the best amplifiers i a have ever
used. i highly recomend them class 1 amps.

20 watt rms rockford amp can blow away any alpine kenwood, clarion, doesent matter how much power they have.
rockrords are built like a tank and can drive any loudpeakers, from 6 by 9s to 15 inch subs.
if jesus was to use an amp in his car he would use rockford
fosqate.
rockford fosqate is a sin for car amps.
i think jesus designed them thats why they sound so good.

i would recomend it to any one if you cant get the money buy one because you cant afford it, rob a bank, sell your mums jewerly, do any possible to get your hands on these amplifiers.

ugly looking amp, good performing amp, but i found an amp
that puts out the same power if not more for a less price

for the punch power 800a2 i paid 800 dollars for it.
i have three mtx thunder 5000 series 10 inch woofers
wired in parallel (the woofers are 12 ohm each to present
a four ohm mono load to the amp) to the 800a2 and it pounded
i was very impressed, until i went to circuit city.
circuit city had an mtx 2400x priced for 500 dollars
and it was rated at 600 watts rms bridged 4 ohm mono at
12 volts. Just to compare, i bought the 2400x and hooked
it up to my three 10's, the amp i felt had some extra
kick around the 50 hz range which made my ears spew out
water from the shower i had earlier in the morning. After
comparing the 800a2 and the 2400x for about 2 hours or so
with demo music from the Bass Mekanik Cd and Too short,
I concluded that the 2400x was a better amp for the money, so i returned the 800a2 to Cal sounds and made the 2400x
a permanent spot in my blazer. Circuit had a Db drag contest and i competed in it, i placed 4th with 142.1 db
in the 3 to 4 woofer class

i have the H800A2 or the Power 800A2.Hasnt overheated on me yet when driving 2 12" solobarics. Pounds out clean accurate bass. In addition this amp looks nice as hell.

Only stable down to 2 ohms. I wouldnt pay the extra 80 bucks for the punch bass remote like I did its not worth it...i rarely use it.

I paid 500 bucks for this Power 800A2 which was not the greatest price but it was decent( 420 for the Punch 800A2) I would recommend this amp because it is a nice big amp for driving multiple subwoofers. it does a great job of keeping heat down. This amp is a bit cheaper than the kicker amps and is made by a very reputable manufacturer. I would recommend that you buy the regular punch instead of the power. This is a great amp.
