Very powerful amp for being a class a/b.
Weakness:
It needs a set of outputs on it. Great amp. You will love it. Great value for the power. Similar Products Used: US200, |

Strength:
all hook-ups, wire terminals, etc. are tucked away for a clean install. can pull this amp down with low impedence levels and it will take it. power rating are low.
Weakness:
gets hot as do all rockford amps but they say this isn't abnormal. i recommend it if you can get a decent deal on it. don't pay 500$+ for it though. I push 2 RF 10" punches. This is over 200 watts @ 4 ohms. they hit really hard considering what i payed for them. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Very clear loud bass. Makes 2 JL Audio 12W0s hit rediculusly hard. Has more power then advertised.
Weakness:
None. Highly recommended, but don't get ripped off. Be very careful shopping for this amp. At one store, they tried to sell it for close to $500 and I ended up finding it for $300 on the internet. Similar Products Used: Power Acoustik APC 480. |

i have this amp hooked up to 2 kappa perfect 10s and this amp hits hard!! I have to buy a 6 channel just to hear the highs because my other amp was only pushing 50 per channel, now I have to up it to 75. But really, this amp is awesome.
Weakness:
ugly as hell, like all rockford amps absolutely awesome amp. buy it. Similar Products Used: rockford 200a1. the 500a2 blows it out of the water |

Strength:
Decent value, can drive pretty heavy subs, more power than advertised.
Weakness:
Overheats if its in too small of a place (like a foriegn car trunk with a big box in it), cuts out after a while if not ventilated. This amp is pretty good. Its pretty clear and can drive my subs well (2 12" punch he's). Like most people said, it is more powerful than advertised, mine came with a certificate that said it was rated at 700+ watts. Mine gets really hot, and after about 45minutes to an hour of use it cuts out, unless I pull down the seat and let air run over it (which is a big pain). It may be defective but its not too much of a problem so I can deal. Similar Products Used: first amp |

Strength:
Terminal faceplate protects fuses and wiring. Screw down terminal block negates having to use spade connectors, a definite +. Is small and easy to mount provided you have the proper hex or torx bit.
Weakness:
Needs torx or hex bit to get off faceplate to access terminals. Way too damn expensive for the features and power output. Ugly as sin, a flat black square metal box would look better. Ugly as hell, overpriced, and poorly constructed. My brother bought it from crutchfield's store in Fredericksburg, Va. After getting home to hook it up, it wouldn't work. The manufacturer had poory seated the remote turn-on and the plug was grounding to the amp chassis. I had to open it up and re-seat the plug to have it work right. Once working, it put out decent power to two RF Punch XLC 12" but hardly seemed worth the money. It won't even handle a 2-ohm mono load at high volume. I got a Farenheit q2-840 amp and it drives harder then the RF for $139. Looks better too. Similar Products Used: Sony Xplod, Power Acoustic Apache, Farenheit Q-series |
