I bought this amplifier to run a pair of 12's with a 4 ohm single voicecoil. They are Kicker Comp VR's. I liked the connectors which allowed you to take it out from the amp chasis to connect wires, and power wires. I used a 4 gauge power and ground wires with a circuit breaker near the battery. When powered up,it was very quiet and very efficient and I did not have to turn the gain up to get the subwoofers blarring with strong bass notes. I also noticed how detailed and controlled the subwoofers behaved compaired to my Rockford Amplifier, due to a better dampening factor and signal to noise ratio. This amp is a monster, and although I have only used it on 4 ohms with a rating of 200rms, I think it is more like 250 or 270rms per side and with 2 ohms it will produce twice that size but it comes with a hefty current rating of 160amp (max) @ 2 ohms)This amp was too powerful and with the gains turned all the way down, it still seemed to overpower my highs being run by another PPI amp. I have taken this amp out and replace it with a PC450amp to run the subs and they are rated at 100rms x 2 bridged power.
