the pins fell out heats up when ran at 1 ohm

dang good amp cant go wrong ive done so much with this amp kickers cant hold up old school orion

I have a Orion Xtreme 9002 with a blown resistor and need your help to find the value,for replacement.it is located in the r41.Its blue with colour coated bands.If anyone can help please email me at mopar@sasktel.net
I will send you a pic for easy identification.Im located way north in Canada and to send it to Orion for repairs would cost close to a new amp.
I just dont want its life to end at this point.I think its worth saving.

Very solid amp. Never gets hot. Easily puts out the rated power.....and the list goes on and on

Like others said the plug ins are a pretty tight fit but it's not a big deal. gives it a good secure connection. I'm not sure if it has a subsonic filter. High MSRP, but you can get it for 300 or cheaper on the net if you look around.

This is a great amp. The best I've ever used. 900x1 @ 4 ohms and underrated. I've only had 1 problem with this amp in owning for nearly 2 years, and it was my fault. Orion fixed it for a small price and haven't had a problem with it since. Easily the best amp in its class, as most Orion amps are.

Everything. High levels of distortion. The paint chips very easy. Hard to work. I put my sub on the 900 watt orion and on a 200watt alpine and the alpine made mysub sound 1,000 times better.

Please do not get this amp. It is no good. I have had my amp 10 months and it has already broken unfixably. My friend got the 500.2 and it broke durig installation. They suck so dont get one. I'll NEVER buy anything Orion again.

It kicks ass!! Plus Orion is one of the, if not THE best company for amplifiers.

Some people say its a pain to get the power and ground wires into the connectors, but i didnt have any problems. It actually fit easily (with 4 gauge).

I just got this amp brand new on E-bay. It kicks so much ass!!! Its so unbelieveably powerful. My headlights almost turn off every time it hits. Its pushin my 2 12 inch MTX Thunder 8000's like friggin crazy.

MTX 250x. I like MTX amps too, but the 250x doesnt even compare to an xtreme 900. Not even close.

Really powerful amp. Many useful features but quite useless for a bass head like me. But I like some SQ as well. Plays well with Micky Harts Planet Drum and great with Drum Tracks as well.

Besides the heat problem, dun really see much other issues.

Freaky. I thought the specs were bogus and that the amp was overrated @ 900w x 1 @ 4 ohms. It's powering my 154 15" Cerwin Vega Vega Series with ease. Gain set @ between 10-11 it really gives my under sized (at less than 1.5 cfu, the woofer required about 3 cfu!) fiberglass tyrewell woofer thump!!!

the connecters are verry hard to get out but you kneed that for a good connection.. other than that??? well it is very hard to get a 4 agu wire in these connecters but its all worth it!!

ok, This amp is amazing. I use it to powere my 2 orion xtr12s subs...also amazing.. in a 1.5 cu/ft box it hits hard...wow..best systm in town along with my 2 15" zues and the bigges sony amp made in 2001($1200) all in a 95 explorer and a pioneer head unit with a controoler and a rockford 1 farad digital cap......antway i trades a $60 dollar somke machin for 2 orion xtr12s in a 1 in thick mdfb box with gold platted screw on terminals and this orion 900 watt amp....great steel...:-)

Very sweet looking. easy installation ports with slide in holders. Stays cool even when being pushed hard. Intelli Q allows such a good boost to the bass response curve.

May be a little complicated for the beginner car audio enthusiast. Can use 4 awg wire but getting the wire in the holes can be a pain. The mounting bars didn't exactly line up with the holes, I had to re drill them. Oh well, that's just cosmetic.

I got this amp for a really really good price. It was factory sealed and had a warranty from Orion. Orion posts their power ratings at 13.8 volts. I have a cap that keeps it aorund 14 so I get just a bit more power than rated. I am running 2 12" L7 4 ohm dvc's on it and it makes them hit, hard. It is so clean and powerful. I am running ~ 450 by 2 at 2 ohms. Don't pay retail, you can find it for cheaper. I recommend this amp to anyone looking to push around 1000 watts. Orion has always been great for me.

Doesn't draw a real lot of power. Drives my sub (15" HCCA) with ease! Intelli-Q. Good crossovers and all that stuff. The remote gain that can be in the front seat... if you buy it, I haven't yet but will soon! The parts where you plug in the power, ground, remote and speaker wires have like adaptor things... makes installation a breeze!

Can't be used at 1 ohm mono =(. O well, it still does 900 RMS at 4 ohms... I wonder if it could go at one ohm how much more power it would put out? Hmmmmm? Remote and patch are on opposite sides of amp... if you have good wiring the remote wire will be in the middle of the patch cable. But a little extended piece of wire added on makes it just fine! I guess that it is so big could be a weakness... but an amp that does this much power without being class D shoul be this big!!!

WHOA! Awesome amp! It makes my HCCA sound AWEEEEEEEEESOME!!!!! It has so much power! There isn't really much else left to say, except that this is a very good amp if you can find the deal like I did! $400 for it BRAND NEW on eBay... I broke the factory seal myself! So look on eBay, you will find some pretty good deals!!! This is by far one of the best amps that isn't over 1 thousand dollars... unless you pay full price and have it shipped I guess? O well, w/e... this thing just rocks!!!
