Its never actually overheated but tens to get warm sometimes

More power than most Amps over here in uk. pure power drives my 2 DB Audio T-Rex 15's perfectly. Also made my Atomic Apocylpse 12 bang like a beast!

Does get hot pretty quickly, but it's a small price to pay for a great product. Oh yeah, and don't buy from Circuit City, their return policy does suck. I am still trying to get back my money for the torn Polk speakers.

By looking at the size alone, you would never be able to tell how bangin this lil' fella really is! I ran it to 2 12" Polk EX3 GNX Series speakers, and literally tore the rubber lining off of my subs. I don't know if the speakers were just cheap, but I'm almost positive its the amp. I now have 4 12" MTX Thunder 8000 T8124A speakers, with two of these amps, and I don't think it gets any better than this. If you want hard-hittin bass like me, than this amp is top of the line. And it's cheap too!

Stays cold no matter how long I keep the volume up. Severly UNDER-rated power wise. Efficient! Barely dims my lights. Not just paying for a name.

This little booger is a dream come true! It makes my 3 MTX Thunder 6000 8 ohm subs hit like a nuclear explosion! If you want a WHOLE LOT of BanG for you buck, this is a keeper! It blew both voice coils out of an 800 watt Fosgate Punch DVC.

Well, what can i say???? EVERYTHING, this amp was THE worst ever. It blew on the first hit, i got a new one and it caught on fire!! WHAT A PIECE!!! I suggest u buy a pyramid before mtx.

Does draw a lot power from auto, more power than rated, stays cool under pressure, quiet turn-on. It''s a great amp.

No EQ,Freq setting on the amp.

Good clean power. People seem to like the chrome faceplate.

This amplifier is so amazing,it will knock your shorts off sitting in the vechile.You can't go wrong with the price,compared to the others out there!Before I had Pheonix Gold and I thought that was the best thing,until I got MTX!I'll never switch again

This amp pushes 3 MTX 12 in. 5000 series subs without a problem.Without a doubt the best amp I have had.It just barely gets warm.

I have not found anything bad to say about this amp.Unlike many of the others I have had.

I bought this amp on ebay new for $270.00.If I had heard it before I bought it I would have pay alot more to get it.It is very compact and stays luke warm.This will do me just fine till I buy the big daddy the 1000D

This is the most mind-boggling experience I've had with an amp. How does such a little amp push so much juice. It is the best amp I have ever bought!!

Make sure your speakers can handle this little bad boy.

I believe I finaly have an amp I will stick with for a while!!! Most amps that I have tried in the past I usually get rid of in a month. It really suprised me when I compared it to a Kenwood Excelon 401M, which was twice the size and had the same rating, my speakers had such a different response. The bass hit lower, the vehicle filled with much more nerve shattering rumble, and car alarms rang out all over the parking lot.
It is worth more than the price, and would recommend it to anyone who needs a lot of power, without taking up a lot of space.

This is definetly one of the best amps I've ever owned. Amp is surprisingly small but packs quite a puch. I have it hooked up to two Kicker Comp VR's and it powers them plenty. The amp never really gets hot either. I plan to use only MTX amps from now on.

Really not much to say other than my amp had a factory error and had to be fixed eplaced. Just don't buy from Circuit City because they suck with returning things.

Not liked by "High End" guys like at Tweeter. Let them be stupid...

Got hot and stunk the first.... After then - no problems. This amp can slam almost any sub out there. I don't think you can buy another amp outside the MTX "D" range that can put out more clean power. Avoid using the EQ Boost as this can cause distortion and will surely wreck your subs.
Overall very happy with how much I paid and what I got out of it. Reccomend this line of underrated amps to anyone who isn't swayed by the hype created by "high end" end stores like Tweeter.
