Strength:
great amp and wattage. has great bass boost. huge heatsink dissipate heat faster.
Weakness:
needs a switchable low/high pass crossover, bass and treble controls not enough. I test three of these amps. Speaker output protection is sensitive on 4 ohm loads bridged. So i defeated my amp's protection to run my sub. This amp has simple topology. But kicks pretty hard for a cheap amp. Kicks harder than my Legacy CA560 at bridged power. I run it bridged to a single 12" JBL in a sealed box. Similar Products Used: Alpine 325, Harman Kardon CA240, Boss RT435, Legacy CA560, Sony Amp |

Strength:
700 watts at 2 ohms very small low cost lot of power at 2 ohms best for price and push subs
Weakness:
When running bridge at 4 ohms the amp will get hot and cut off I''v have a collection of about 200 different amplifiers I went and tried this amp the power at 4 ohms was pretty good but when you run the amp at 2 ohms the amp put a wallop of power for the price if put 2 cheap subs and run it at two ohms it will burn and blow the voice coil. I have a 1 farad digital cap and I 2 12" to run it at 2 ohms you need a 2ohm load subs or dual voice coil 4 ohm subwoofer. I am running two punch power hx2 2ohm load subwoofers in a box with this little amp I use these subs to test amplifiers and yes it does the job just for fun I drove around with this all summer long and people ask what do I have in the trunk I say a to punch and thump amp and I have sold a lot of these amps. This is what I have in my trunk 2 Punch Power dvc 1 Mobile Authority ta3001 1 Rockford Fosgate 1 farad CAP |
