This amp does exactly what a quality 2 channel amp rated to produce 50 x 2 should do. Its fairly compact, has a built in slectable high and low pass crossover and bas oost if you so choose to use it. The sound quality is typical of Rockford in my opinon. Clean output with a fair amount of addtional headroom for musical peaks. The power output is robust for a 50 x 2 rated amp. I would estimate with my 25 years of car audio experience the amp to produce closer to 60-65 watts per channel RMS. The input section is clean too. It doesn't introduce any unwanted hiss or distortion into the music stream and its simple to make adjustments to.

I would like to have seen a little larger power and ground wire connectors and let's face it, the styling is a bit flashy if not slightly tacky with all the chrome and bright red heatsink.

amp might get a bit warm, not much, just as long as you use a good wiring kit.

For an inexpensive amp, this amp sounds pretty good. I don't know about this other guys' review, but with a clean wiring kit this amp is ideal for some 6x9's or even a single sub. I have it running a single 10" sub, bridged and it pushes it very nicely. Its not the best for a sub of course, but highly recommend it for 6x9's

Garbage, i have a 60 watt sony that i was using to power a dvc ten bazooka in my trunk and this thing would barley move it. well it makes sense given that it is made by rockford fosgate and they have always mad trash. i bought another crunch
