Strength:
It continues to surprise me how well this car performs for its age and its mileage. It runs very smooth, and pulls off the line beautifully due to its 225 ft.-lbs. of torque. It chirps the tires for about a second, hooks up and takes off, goes 0-60 in about 8 seconds at around 80 mph. Pretty respectable considering it's weight and age. garage service Weakness:

Strength:
Very good bang for the buck. Lots of power for little money. Never shut down or overheated.
Weakness:
None. Overall, this is a good strong little amp. I had it pushing two 12" JL W0's and it hit 137 dB. Similar Products Used: Kicker 352xi |

1999 Kicker IX402
Strength:
Low price, Kickeq, easy controlls, good power, clean look.
Weakness:
Struggles with the heavy solo baric, thermal shutdown occassionally on hot days. What can I say? This is a solid sub amp all around. It does sound WAY better if equipped with an eq. I run it with an Alpine head unit, using it to power a single Kicker solo baric 10. It LUMPS for sure! But when I run it bridged, through my Clarion eq, it just cannot be beat. For the dollars there is no better amp. Similar Products Used: Kicker IX 702. Alpine all the way around. |

Strength:
runs like it is 400 watts. i have 2 alpine type S 12s running on it bridged. never shuts off and i have hit 146db with it. trying to get one off a guy in town. to get the most out of this amp you need to get a head unit with a 4 volt sub preout and all the cut offs. preferably an alpine cda7893 or cda7894
Weakness:
there is none with this amp. the kicker ix 402 is an excellent choice for any system and will outperform many of the higher wattage amps if you have all the right equipment. Similar Products Used: sony, alpine, fosgate |

Strength:
Solid construction, never gave me any trouble...
Weakness:
Only for sub use, HORRIBLE sound quality when used for mids/highs I think the strengths and weaknesses cover it. Similar Products Used: Memphis, Soundstream, Orion, Xtant Its not the greatest deal for the price, but if you can get one cheap and want to run one small sub go for it. |
