Strength:
easy to set up, produces more power than any speaker needs to run well. it will run one sub great .
Weakness:
it lacks the power to run two subs. i've had kenwood all my life to me its the best amp on the market, if one won't do what you want then get a bigger amp. Similar Products Used: alpine just is not as clear of a sound. |

filters, heat control, price
Weakness:
not great at pushing subs it was all right pushing 1 w3, but it wasnt the greatest sounding thump i'ver ever heard. i really dont think it was worth gettintg, but it does has some features i like, such as the filters, and the fact that it doesnt get too hot. However, it does sound good on my speakers, but i wouldn't recommend it for subs. Similar Products Used: None |

The amp has good looks and i like the filters. It was easy to install and setup.
Weakness:
I am running it mono to a 10in sub and it has cut off on me plenty of times. I don't have the gain turned up very loud. The sub is a Lanzar competition 350watt. no Bass boost. I turn the bass down on my deck to 0 and there is virtually no bass. I give it 3.5 stars. It's has good power, good features, great looks, but it needs a bass boost and stop cutting off. Similar Products Used: i had a Road Gear amp that never failed me and it had an bass boost. I could turn the bass down to 0 on my deck and still rumble. Got rid of it just because i wanted a name brand amp. |

Sounds really clean and loud on my polk ex 6x9's...Liked it so much I bought one for my girl's MTX Blue thunder legend
Weakness:
With almost full gain bridged into 4 olms it gets very hot and sometimes shuts off (when bridged to a single 4 olm sub) I think the amp is perfect to run 2 powerful interior speakers. There is very little noise. Its good also to bridge into a single sub if the sub can handle about 400 watts RMS..I wouldnt go any further than that Similar Products Used: ? |

I like the ease of installation and controlling the sound. I think that it has good power for an amp of its size. The filters make the amp very versatile.
Weakness:
I would like to see a bass boost. You can really hear a difference in bass when comparing my Eclipse 3620 and this kenwood on my subs because the eclipse has a bass boost. I had some troubles in the summer with the amp shutting off when I ran it hard. This could have been because it was in an old black car that didn't have good circulation. . If you are using subs then I recommend the Eclipse. I like the way the Kenwood powers the lower end models of subs. It is a good starter amp. I like the way the high pass filter sounds on my components and they match them well. Similar Products Used: Eclipse 3620. Comparable but depends on what you are using it for. I have mine hooked to a set of Kicker Impulse components and they really scream. |

The compact size makes this amp an incredible amp for small and compact cars. It also has plenty of power to rock many subs. The filters are also a great addition to an already perfect amp.
Weakness:
none worth mentioning!! This was an excellent deal even though i bought it at a yard sale. i would recommend this amp for anyone who wants good power out of a powerful, small yet affordable device. Similar Products Used: I have also used a similar Clarion model. The Clarian got much hotter and sometimes overheated and cut out. |

Great price, good controls, easy to set up.
Weakness:
Gets kinda warm, but doesn't shut off. I paid $120 for mine, and I especially like the LPF and HPF filters. The LPF only amplifies music below 80Hz, and cuts everything else, which makes it great for subs. The HPF only amplifies music above 150Hz, so you can also use it to power your mid-range speakers. I would recommend this product, or the 728, which is one step above it. Similar Products Used: KW 728 - This one has half the power, but it works for me. |
