Strength:
not very large, took up little space. great at not reducing the weight of your wallet. no over-heating, unless you just don't hook it up properly.
Weakness:
some distortion at high volume levels. amp adjustment knobs are too loose, and get out of whack because of vibrations. 3 stars due to necessary modifications to remedy knobs and sliding door. I originally bought this amp as a temporary untill I could find something better, but changed my mind after I bought it. In past experience, most jensen audio products were crap, but this one component changed my mind. (amplifiers, at least)I drive two 10 Rockford Fosgate XLC subwoofers with it and they sound pretty good. The sound gets pretty messed up at high volumes, but I rarely listen to music that loud anymore. I value what hearing I have left. Jensen could also stand to re-design the x-over and level knobs. Also, if you buy this amp, You'll have to remove the sliding door on top of it. The dang thing buzzes like hell due to sub frequencies. Similar Products Used: None |

Low price, versatility

Just not a high quality product, but what do you expect for the price? For what I paid for it ($79.95 on sale at Sears), this is a great amp. I have it driving two pairs of Jensen 6 1/2s in parallel, and it sounds pretty good. The combo has trouble at really high volume, but I'd chalk that up to the cheap speakers. If you're on a budget, I'd recommend this amp, whether you're driving one, two, three or four speakers. Four stars because it sure as hell isn't perfect. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
It has a high bang-to-buck ratio. It is inexpensive and you get a good product for the price.
Weakness:
It doesn't have the power to drive large speakers clearly at high levels. I have used it for 2 12" speakers and it sounds pretty good, although it's not powerful enough for 2, that is why I am getting another one - so I can have one amp for each speaker. I like it, and the logo is sweet, it lights up. Similar Products Used: I haven't used many other products, so it isn't fair for me to compare without knowledge. |
