Model Reviewed: NX600

Strength:

Good clean power, brushed aluminum finish, good terminals and controls.

Weakness:

Manual and mounting hardware are crap. Slightly power hungry, but just slightly.

This was a very good amp for the money for me. Unfortunately it, along with the rest of my system, got stolen before I was able to use it all that much. It puts out a good amount of very clean power. It has a very nice, not overly flashy look to it. The terminals are very nice and it comes with the allen wrenches for them. The xovers, gain, etc were well labelled and you could change them without a screwdriver or anything. The manual that comes with it is one of those "one size fits all" manuals and is pretty pathetic...in fact my old Jensen amp manual was better than that. It comes with some cheap mounting hardware which is just alright, it gets the job done. It also seemed slightly power hungry, more so than my old Lanzar amp. It also seemed to get hot very fast, but I'm not sure if that's necessarily bad. I ran it for about two hours straight and it never cut out or shut down or anything. This is a well-build quality amp for the price.

Similar Products Used:

Rockford Fosgate(a good reliable amp, a bit expensive though), Jensen(pretty good for the money despite what some say), Lanzar(good power and efficiency for the money but not as reliable as other amps and power was not as clean as the Hifonics), Legacy(extremely inefficient, not much power...spend a little more on something decent)
