I have 2 12" Pioneer Premier's powered by an Alpine V12 (MRV-T503) amp. Lemme tell you this rocks! I paid $189 for the amp and I am very, very pleased. Even though my subs handle 800 watts and they are only getting about 200 from the V12, they still pound hard as hell! I highly recommend this amp, especially if you are on a budget. |

I am currently still running my V12 cause I don't have the money to step it up to a phoenix yet. V12 amps are over priced so in no way are they for a person who is on budget unless they get a discount on it. As for the amp running some subs that need 800 and are getting 200 from the V12.. 800 is peak, 200 is the required rms that's why the subs sound fine. I'm quite familiar with the pioneer line up. As for the V12 as each day goes by I discover it's short commings. A V12 without a fan is not meant to be operated for a long duration of time. The amp gets extremely hot and when played at at high volumes during the high heat the sound cuts or distorts. The heat build up obvisously affects the sound. I own this amp and I just seriously can't speak highly of it and that is sad. what's more sad is that I discovered that V12 amps are not to be bridged cause if u bridged them the carry a 0.3% thd. I was also further dissappointed when I discovered that the 5th channel on my V 12 carried a 0.3% thd at 4 ohm stereo which is really sad. Nobody should have to pay that kind of money for a 0.3% thd |

I had this puppy driving four 4x6 plate speakers in my Porsche- it was great. It's rated at 25x4 channels, but the test Alpine does on it before it shipped showed that it actually put out 30.4 watts per channel- now that's getting more than what you paid for. It drove all four speakers cleanly without that hum you sometimes get from the engine, and it also provided the signal to another amp that drove a sub. It never clipped, and never cut out on me. It worked for me for 4 years without a problem, until I sold the car (boo-hoo). I would recommend this amp to anyone. 4 stars, because they'll always come out with something bigger or better for less money. :-) |

I put my V12 in and I was perty much dissappointed. This thing pushes like a donkey. For a serious listener, this thing doesn't kick out wattage, it deserves a good kick itself. The background hiss comming from it was minimal but still noticable even with phoenix gold wires and interconnects. Sadly to say, this amp is over priced and is only good for some decent equipment. Not recommendable for high end equipment use. As much As I like Alpine, I can't really say this amp is really good. |

The most reliable V-12 amp has to be the MRV-1002, I know 4 people that have it and they had no problems with it and It powers just about anything and the price is right. I also have the Expert 1505, and a T502, They all are excellent. V12 amps are the best!!! |

To say that the V12 amps are the best is an overstatement that is very untrue.A Phoenix will out deliver a V12 7 days a week and the V12 can't even accept a balance cable! A V12 at retail price is simply over priced. |

The Alpine MRV 1507 is an excellent Amp. This is the first v12 that I
Weakness:
Too Dam big, this thing is a monster, still fits on my back seat, no big The 1507 really suprised me, It might be on e of the best Amplifiers on the market, especially for the price. I would put this amp in the Hi-Hi category. I've used many amps, PPI, Rockford, Kenwood, Kicker, Xtant, Soundstream. Though this is not the best amp out there, it can really hold it's own. I think I'm going to hold on to this amp, It gives all the controls that I need to adjust my BAss Frequency. This Amp gets a perfect 5 stars from me, because of quality, performance and value. I your a person who is interested in this amp, do yourself and your car a favor and get, it will probably be one of the best decisions you will ever make. Similar Products Used: Before this amp I was using a Rockford Fosgate 800a2, which is a good amp |

Power, clean, clean, power. Gets warm, well, lukewarm compare to the 800i I pulled out. and muuuch cleaner.
Weakness:
Weight, trying to save pounds in my car did'nt go so well. listed at 18lbs.Still a fair tradeoff, did I say it looks good, too? Using this amp to power 3 way MB QUARTs front, 6.5 MB coaxs rear, and one Kappa Perfect 10 sealed to the rear, Eclipse 5403, and PPI 4.1 head end. My car has a hairy little small block that demands power to overcome exhaust, turbo whistle, tire noise, ect. I have to back off the volume when I punch the pedal so I can enjoy the noise!! I don't know about running 3-12s but this amp is the basis for a well balanced hear every artifact clean and loooud system that has me shaking my head. If anything better comes along, don't tell me for a couple of years, ok? Similar Products Used: Tried 6 and 5 channel amps some years ago ent o seperate amps. This is the first multichannel that works as advertied, well, better than advertised. it actually sounds better than a whole lot of seperate amp setups i've heard. Finally.... |

1999 MRV-T503
Strength:
-It will really kick multiple pairs of 8's.
Weakness:
-It will overheat if stupid people drop the resistance down to 2 ohms. I don't know about 3 Ohms, but I WOULD NOT TRY IT! (I go by the book) I don't cheat my products. Well I have had it for three years now. No signs of dying on me at all. Through this amplifiers life, it has ran, 2 Pioneer TS-W120c's and 2 JL AUDIO WØ's. I ran them in pairs. I didn't run all 4 at once. That wouldn’t have been good at all. I began with the Pioneer's then upgraded to the WØ's. The Pioneers sounded great. They hit really HARD!!! I got nauseous after being in the Metro for over 5 minutes. The WØ's sound just as good as the Pioneer's did. Even with 200 watts RMS going to the WØ's and 500 Bridged to the Pioneers. The WØ's still sounded better on 200 watts RMS a pop. Overall this amplifier has many, many uses. It is very versatile. It will have outstanding performance in all areas. Whether you use it for subs; mids, or tweets. Alpine, in my language means, "It's all good" Similar Products Used: -Phoenix Gold |
