MRV-1000
Strength:
Runs ice cold even in summertime for extended periods Provides plenty of power, bridged or stereo Underrated
Weakness:
Aside from getting greedy when you using it for ultra-low ohm loads, nothing whatsoever I purchased this amp from my friend for $200, and is the best stereo investment I have made. Ran a single XMAX bridged with no strain, matching its power needs perfectly. This amp runs cooler than any other amp I have owned, even during a three hour road trip in summertime. While I cannot say what the current model V12's are like, I can safely say Alpine knew how to build amps during this period. Anyone who says these older model V12's are overrated doesn't know what the hell they're doing. Similar Products Used: Rockford Fosgate Punch 200 Old School |

Strength:
Good looks and cool digital display.
Weakness:
Under powered! Not worth the money. Don't waste your time. I have 2 MRD-300's pushing 2 JL 10w3 v2's in a honda s2000. These amps are not worth anything. The s2000 has a very small cab so any sound going in there is very loud. These amps do nothing for the sound system I have and would never buy them gain. I'm going for JL amps I should have done that in the first place. |

Digital amp, under rated, looks nice, alot of features.
Weakness:
none yet I have a MRD-M300 and it frikin awesome. It pounds my 12" Type R so hard that it about makes you puke. Best thing of all is its under rated. It's actually 340.5 watts instead of 300. The digigtal display makes detailing your music simple. The amp looks really sweet too. A real attention getter. Similar Products Used: bazooka, lightning audio |

Strength:
Lots of power for a small unit, easy controls of sound and output. The looks, the capability (i can power 4 10" if a wanted to)
Weakness:
None so far, maybe that it puts out too much power at times... Pumps the power and dishes the sound. I have 2 10" Alpines type S''s and they are a good couple for my MRV-100M Amp. Puts out so much noise that the neighbors can hear me 4 blocks away yet its calm enough not to rattle my bumper off. Similar Products Used: Kenwoods (suck) MTX (shiney, but no better) |

Strength:
Looks good and does not take up much space. Gives great sound to my speakers. I've got the amp running mono to three kicker xpl 10s. The bass gets to be too much to handle. My girlfriend and my friends all say that they can hear me coming before they can see me. I need to mat my trunk because the bass makes it rattle so much...It shook my license plate holder loose. Great bang for the buck...
Weakness:
This amp gets hot really quickly. I would recommend to anyone who gets this amp, do not turn the gain up too high, and do not bump the amp for extended periods of time. If you do, you are going to f*** up the amp. I would recommend this amp to anyone who wants good bang for the buck. This amp at the price that I got it for is by far the best value out of everything I bought. It is even the best value out of all of my friends! Some of them spent twice as much and do not hit as hard as I do... Similar Products Used: Compared to Coustic 460(old power logic series), Sony xm754hx(good 4 channel amp), Koiler(generic, looks good, sounds like s***), Coustic 380(get the idea that I am a big coustic fan). The coustics and the sony are good amps, but I gotta go with the Alpine for the clear bass it delivers and TRUE watts that it delivers. |

U want quality? Power? Bass engine? and crystal clear sound reproduction without distortion? Look no further, these amps all meet high standards and are respected throughout the audio industry.
Weakness:
None, the one I have is perfect for my car and runs a bit warm, but hey I paid around 300 for mine. Really, it doesn't matter if u wanna run sound competitions or just take the long way home once and a while. If u like music and love quality sound then a system is a must? Now all u have to do is determine how much dough and umph u want in it. there's a v12 amp for pretty much every application- from thundering bass from zeus himself, or just mild yet picante all in one 5-channel amps for you car. The resale value of these amps are high? for one, who'd wanna sale their v12 anyways? I'm thinkin' about it, but thats only to get another one... or two, perhaps three. Phoenix gold is good too- talk about pricey though. Your goin' into a different category here... Similar Products Used: RF, Kenwood, Sony |

Good for the hi's
Weakness:
doesn't have much punch, For all those messages below who PRAISED the V12 as one of the best amps if not the "THE BEST". They are somewhat biased. All those people got some killer deals on their V12 which is what made their amp so great. I'd like to see them pay retail for that amp and then hear what they have to say about the V12 amp. It's certainly a good amp, but there are many better brands out there. I recently ditched my V12 and upgraded to Phoenix and the difference is WOW! I'd never go back to a V12 ever again, even if I could get a pretty sweet deal on it. I would never use a V12 for bass, it has no punch. As much as I hate Rockford, even a Rockford would better on the bass section than a V12. Similar Products Used: Mcintosh, Tube Driver, PPi, Phoenix |
