Alpine MRV-F307
Strength:
Works, is name brand. Pumps the beats but not as much as I want.
Weakness:
Bass sound isn't what I expected, but that is most likely my fault, not this AMPS.
So I bought this off a buddy of mine for $75 with a Pioneer 15" in a box. The Pioneer sub leaves a lot to be desired, it isn't so aesthtically pleasing and the box has a lot of left over glue on the outside. This is fine considering my car is a 1997 Jetta GL Automatic and doesn't look so hot itself.

Alpine V-12 MRV-307
Strength:
Small unit, more than enough bridged power for the JL subs
Weakness:
none yet I bought this amp several years ago to power two 12" JL subs. I installed a 1/2 farad Monster Cap to balance the peak demands, and this amp has great performance. With a 50wx4 Pioneer deck powering only the door speakers the JL's get all the bridged power. I have the gain set only at half the maximum, and the bass moves the hair on my head. Crisp, clean, beep bass after 6 years. |

underrated 30x4,great price for a used model
Weakness:
none i have had this amp for a year and a half. i have it pushing my polk/momo 5 1/4's in front and pioneer 6x9's in the rear of a 94 caddy seville sts this amp is way underrated it replaced my rockford 30.2 model because i wanted to be able to controll all my speakers something the 2 channel was not capable of doing the gain is half way and the mids and highs it reproduces are astounding. it complements my hifonics brutus amp perfectly. Strength:
quality, peace of mind.
Weakness:
couldnt get it to power a sub. Might not be the amps fault. Very good amp for powering components and mids. I personally couldn''t get it to power a sony x-plod 10" sub with any real oomph. I am using it to power a set of focal 135Ks and it does this exceedingly well, also a set of infinty 502s in the back giving good rear fill. Strength:
Underrated power, clear, clean sound, does,nt get hot, no need for y-adaptors, i could go on forever!
Weakness:
NONE. I am very impressed with this amp. It''s powering some Boston Acoustic FX4''s in my dash, and some Magnat mids in my front doors. I was pleasently surprised with the ability to power 4 channels from 2 RCA inputs, eliminating the need for y-splitters. The crossovers are v.effective and the sound quality is superb. Also, the figures they state are underrated, eg. 30RMS = (on mine) 39RMS. Im a very happy person. Similar Products Used: Alpine MRV 757 :) |

Strong, clean sound. Doesn''t get that hot. Price.
Weakness:
Haven''t used that long, We''ll see. For $245 bucks, you can''t beat this amp. It has great features and puts out clean, natural sounding music. I''m driving it off my factory head unit pushing focal 165v in the front doors, and Mb Quart 4x6 in the rear doors of my Chevy Ext. cab. The Sub is an Eclipse 10 inch under rear seat being shoved with an older Teac amp which will be upgraded later. I''ve installed systems in my cars before but never have any sounded this good and I''m sure the Alpine amp has alot to do with that. At the power level output Alpine has this listed, seems like it puts out more. Gain levels front and rear aren''t even half way up and it makes my hair shake. Variable crossovers are a nice addition. smooth clean power and under rated at 30 watts rms
Weakness:
none i bought this amp to power my mids and highs - i have a honda civic with polk 6.5" components in front and infinity references in back (no tweeters just the mids in back) . this amp powers these speakers nicely , plenty of power and clean , never clips. ive been into car audio for about a year now and initially i though alpine was alot of hype and just a name . i was wrong as can be , i now have a alpine head unit (7863 ,highly recommend ) and of course the 307.im still going with the jbl bp 600.1 for my sub though (12" vega vega in a q logic box ) .the jbl power series amps are balls to the wall power , clean and inexpensive.i cant yet afford a high power sub amp from alpine so im gonna stick with the jbl.anyway , i really like this little amp by alpine, give it a go, you wont be sorry. Similar Products Used: sony 604 eqx , dont waiste your money its a noisey amp that clips like a mo fo.i liked it at first but alpine blows it away |

Strength:
like i said, i have only had this system in my car ('98 civic hatchback) for less than a week and i have no complaints what so ever. feeds my 2 jl's with more than enough power. I have the ringing ears to prove it
Weakness:
no weeknesses so far I run two JL 12 wo's through this amp and it seems to be able to pull enough bass out of my sub to make my head explode....ive got a pioneer P5200 deck and also use alpines for highs in the front.....ive only had this set-up for less than a week so i still have to experiment and finetune the system. Similar Products Used: ive heard the same sub being played through a similar sized 4 channel ppi amp, i cant remember what model, but it was under powered compared to the alpine |

None Sound Advice loves this amp. I compared it to the orion cobalt 200.4 and it clearly won. It is clean and underrated. Dont pay over $300 for this amp. Similar Products Used: None |
