Strength:
Every thing it does is great.
Weakness:
The price. When I bought in 1997, I paid ~$700. Now, I don't know it price. I've had it for more than 10 years. Woah, what a great product. I have never had a problem. Except for the speaker/siren. It stop working last year. Replaced it with a new one and it is all fine now. I guess I have 10 more years of usage.
Similar Products Used: I've all other alarms. From cheapo's to more expenside brands. They don't compare. |

Strength:
I love it because it has the best shock and proximity sensors on the market, it has remotes that look like they are carbon fiber, and it's never-ending list of features. It is very user-friendly and can be easily configured with an optional cable and free software. The range on this thing is just awsome due to the thin, glass-mounted wire antenna! Check out http://www.clifford.com/cp_ig9.htm for all the features.
Weakness:
The only thing I don't like about the IQ9000 is that the main remote control is not waterproof. I always use the "companion" remote which I think works better anyways. I like my Clifford IG9000 mostly because I feel like it actually protects my BMW convertible. It has the best shock sensor on the market, the OmniSensor, and it also has the Dual-Zone Proximity Sensor 4 radar sensor, which puts a bubble around the car, and if it is ever penetrated, the alarm sounds immediately. The proximity sensor is great for protecting the car with the top up or down. The IQ9000 has BlackJax, which helps thieves from getting too far with your precious car or cargo, even if they have the remote and keys! It has this cool feature called NightVision, which keeps the headlights on for a user-programmable period of time, which helps light your path at night. Overall, what more can you ask for? This system is a must for anyone with a convertible! Similar Products Used: I also had a Clifford ACE500 on my other BMW, but this is a much better system. It has so much that the ACE didn't have and doesn't have near as many false alarms. |
